Chromatica is too good to be over

The last time I thought Chromatica was over, she dropped 911 less than a week later :bear:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Well, I don't think it's over but.. I'm not confident in that thought :laughga:

But she has posted 2 selfies this week that are supposed to be holiday themed but yet the picture is not really holiday. She has new purple hair and matching nails. Idk maybe she's just active for the Oreo thing that's supposed to be next week but it could be something more

I just really wish for more exposure for this album, it's so good. Like, she barely got to do any performances

Technically and at least in my opinion every era is not over until the last tour concert.

(Except TMB, she ended  the tour quite late)

It's not over. Gaga still mentions the album and does ads for it so she clearly didn't move on from it. When Gaga moves on from an album, she just stops promoting/talking/doing stuff for it and focus on the next project.

she lost my interest. she had it back when 911 came out, but then did nothing, so...

The era is long over. It makes no sense that she’s waiting to release stuff in 2021 when the situation will be the same. If she does do anything for it, she’ll drop whatever it is and ignore it just like the 911 video. Honestly, I would appreciate it if she told us the era was over and only come back when she actually wants to put in the work for her albums.

Omg thanks for saying it, her team should be a bit more transparent with us and tell us what's going on so we can stop having unrealistic expectations. This is just basic respect.

This is the first era since AP that I would actually rather see more of this album than get the next one.

It has so, so much potential for a great era. And this will probably be her last fantasy-electro-dancepop era, so I will be really disappointed if she moves on before giving the videos and performances that the album deserves.

Ever since AP its been hard to gauge when her eras actually end. C2C came out when she was still on tour for AP, she was still promoting C2C after AHS. She was still promoting Joanne at the 2018 Grammys.

I have hope that even if she moves onto the new movies or whatever, she will still sporadically give some new Chromatica content.

I really dont mind waiting or whatever.

I dont understand the whole drama with this era. We got a FULL dance album which we always wanted, collabs with contemporary artists, 3 high budget videos and critical acclaim.

The only thing we arent getting is the standard TV performances/interviews but its not a big deal really considering everything else we've had above. Also, the interviews Gaga has done are some of her most enlightening and truthful.

Some people can be quite ignorant to all the good things.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times" - Charles Dickens, 1859

Gaga released an amazing album and terrific music videos and did a wonderful collab with Ariana.  Chromatica debuted #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.  Gaga may be the most awarded female artist in 2020.

All this against a backdrop of the covid pandemic, police violence, black lives matters, a crucial presidential election, and Gaga's constant pain from injuries and fibro, and her torment from ptsd and depression.

Imo the "worst of times" is just an interruption of the "best of times", and the era will continue when the pandemic is over.

I live outside the space time continuum.

Nah, I don’t even feel like there was an album era. She’s had three single eras so far (SL from February to March, ROM/SC from May to June, 911 from August to September). We’ve had essentially four months of nothing. I’m gonna guess this month will be for a new single, maybe even a bit of January, and then she’ll be gone again. If that’s what she needs to stay mentally healthy though, then she should do that.

I also think that it's not over. We're far from over. There're so many things that are waiting for us, stay tuned.

If Taylor Swift hadn’t released 2 albums this year, if pop girls like Dua Lipa hadn’t done virtual concert/etc. perhaps this fan base would be a little less salty. Not factually speaking or saying I feel this way - just an impression I have.

I am pretty confused by Gaga though. I know she stopped/delayed a lot of promotion and said she couldn’t wait to perform.. so I do wonder why she hasn’t put out a virtual concert yet. Perhaps she has been working on one for the album - which I imagine takes a lot of time, money and planning. Especially with COVID-19 safety protocols. Or perhaps her and her team are planning a follow up album, EP or re-release of Chromatica for this upcoming spring.

instead, we have Oreos. I understand the frustration. She doesn’t owe us anything and I want her to be OK - but I do sometimes feel robbed once again of a full blown GAGA era. We aren’t entitled to it - but it still is a little disappointing.

When it comes to Gaga, there’s usually a reason she’s quiet and then she releases something and we all go, “ahhh makes sense what she was doing behind the scenes that we didn’t know at the time.”

Then again, maybe she isn’t ready to be in the spotlight 24/7 anymore. We know she’ll be releasing music and performing until she’s an old lady. We know that cause she told us that and has said it in interviews as well.

hopefully we hear from her in some capacity soon. We miss you Gaga!
