i wasn’t very familiar with it but urban dictionary says

“A problem or dilemma that, when compared to issues of poverty, national disasters and war, are not all that big of a deal, but nonetheless provide individuals with issues that must be dealt with.

Evelyn hit the Facebook friend limit of 5,000. A champagne problem for sure, but a problem nonetheless.

so i guess it’s been around

personally all it makes me think it is the lyric from the Fergie song, “champagne wishes, caviar dreams, you deserve nothing but all the finer things”

So it's the expression white people from the first world created to replace "white people's problems" and "first world problems"?

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I search dictionary, it says 'champagne problems' means the kinds of problem that need to take a choice between two things, however, those 'things' not only were rare that normal (or poverty) people would lucky to have, but also usual to rich or famous people (like, choosing which island you want to travel this summer, or problem about luxury or expensive material, etc.)

Why would Taylor release that right after Katy tho? :huntyga:

Because they’re linked in the media and Taylor knows it’ll get her talked about

she did the same thing with Cruel Summer, the name of a 2012 album Kanye made
