And my asthmatic self continues to be cooped up in my house with my immunocompromised father, wiping down groceries, wearing masks, keeping my loved ones and people I come into contact with alive.  This whole pandemic experience has made me incredibly disillusioned with all strata of society.

The past few days I’ve had a sore throat, been achy, and generally felt like death.  I’m terrified that I caught it on one of my weekly food shopping trips(the only time I go in public).

Correct. Takes weeks for a significant number of people to die. Some a few days, some weeks!

If it makes you feel better, I work in a grocery store and have been tested a few times and they were negative each time, so I haven’t gotten it as far as I know by taking proper precautions (never taking off my mask, taking my breaks in my car, and flat out refusing to help customers that aren’t wearing a mask) -  So if you were wearing a mask and social distancing while shopping, you’re probably ok.

I am so desensitized to this news and it makes me feel terrible because I am not one of those idiots who believe it's fake or some ploy by democrats to sabotage Trump.
