Adopting black kids does not absolve you from being racist just like dating/marrying/being friends with someone whose black doesn't stop you from being racist. she chose to make her own life easier by working with Maddie and this “I was rehearsing with one actress who found it stressful” sounds like a poor excuse to just work with Maddie.

Humans make mistakes everytime. If it's difficult to even acknowlegde those mistakes when you're a random person, I can't even imagine the pressures for a public figure to make things 100% right and yet being judged by some anonymous people behind the screens. I am autistic and I don't think she deserves to be cancelled for using NT actors for playing autistic people, she deserves to be cancelled because of her attitude, she acted like a brat with autistic people, that just means she never really cared about autism, she just wants the promo from supporting a cause that is "trendy" now.

But it's a movie for God's sake. Actors can play roles of people with autism. This is not a documentary. She wanted to show that exact type of autism and it would not be possible with person who actually has it. Do you understand this?

Lol how is it inappropriate. Sia literally prevented her from accepting Epstein's offer to accompany him to his island. Maddie was/is too young to know about the business she's a part of, Sia helps her with that and she owes her a lot for that.
