I'm really happy she's taking her film career so seriously and has turned down a ton of competitive offers for superhero type movies. There's something very true to what we know about her seeing her make old-fashioned Hollywood films with a modern twist. It's very cinephile theater kid from New York, speaking as one.

Yes it is, but I feel like Gaga wants to be taken even more seriously for her acting and she doesn't want singing to have anything to do with her acting roles. This is why AHS: Hotel was void of any musical numbers, despite Freak Show having many. Ryan didn't want Gaga to be judged by acting + music, only acting.

not saying I expect a Gucci soundtrack by Gaga, but there will be a soundtrack. Exciting with this casting, he was great in Watchmen.

True, I don't know why people think thrillers can't have music... If they create a song that fits the mood of the movie, why not using the chance of having Gaga? It's promo y'all... A song can sell a movie and viceversa. And why singing the song would take the spotlight off of her acting? I think it's completely opposite, people who enjoy the song might wanna see her in the movie. Another thing would be having a full soundtrack, that sounds out of the place, but singing a dark song? That'd be awesome

Yeah, he’s ‘replacing’ De Niro.

The article says there were reports De Niro was going to play the father’s role, but they were premature.

And the others don’t seem to be 100% confirmed - says they’re all still at different stages of signing on.

So I think Gaga and Irons are the only two absolutely confirmed?

Adam Driver is confirmed to be playing Gaga’s husband. Reeve Carney posted the deadline article on his Instagram so he confirmed his role too. So far 4 people are confirmed.

I don't think there would be an original song for this movie. She can make an original score though.
