What were your earliest experiences as a Gaga stan? Do you remember the first interview or performance you watched? What made you interested in her?

I vividly remember watching the 2009 VMAs performance as it aired. Everything about her that night had me so captivated and lowkey scared bc I had never seen anyone like her. I was already a fan of her singles but that’s when I really got hooked.

Seeing her perform at 2008 Miss Universe and then being really disappointed that her album wasn't out yet.

I liked her because she reminded me of Roisin Murphy and dressed like Grace Jones.

I used to watch music videos every single day on tv so I remember when Just Dance came out and I thought it was cool that she had the David Bowie-esque make up but was disappointed that the song was just basic dance pop

Interacting with gay people for the first time on the "Lady Gaga - Haus of Gaga" app in like 2009

I had to go into my iPhones app download history to dig this out. I cannot find information on this app anywhere online. It had chatrooms and everything. This was like the place to be for a Lady Gaga fan. People use to pretend they were Lady Gaga in it haha.

I remember watching the Just Dance video when it came out and I really enjoyed the song, but what hooked me was the premiere of the Telephone video. I was obsessed after that!

My. Lawyer. Liked. That.

My very first memory of Lady Gaga was seeing a topic about her on a Madonna forum, but I didn't click on the thread because the name sounded like some DJ project like Crazy Frog at that time (that was literally my first thought... Crazy Frog!).

And then weeks, or even months later I saw Gaga performing at the Miss Universe competition and I was surprised how good her live vocals were... it was the first time I heard Just Dance.

it wasn't littlemonsters.com either. It was like Lady Gagas first app and I don't think she even interacted with fans on it.

I was in high school when she first hit the scene, so my memory is a bit hazy, but I believe my experience discovering her went something like this:

I remember heading Poker Face in the summer of 2009 (how couldn't you?!) and thinking it was a unique tune. Then, one night I heard Paparazzi and had an out of body experience.  It was then I started digging a bit more into who this woman was, as by this time TFM was just being released. I don't recall being floored by Bad Romance or ever understanding its impact, until much later. I fondly recall the Gaga marathons on Fuse TV. Her 2010 Grammys Red Carpet look transfixed me and I think it was then I really starting getting into her. Another fun memory is waiting for my car to be serviced at the Toyota dealership and E News (I think) literally dedicating an entire broadcast to the premier of the Telephone music video. But, my ultimate moment of truth came when I saw The Monster Ball in Raleigh in September 2010. The rest is history.
