Xoxo Adriana 15,040 Posted December 7, 2020 Share Posted December 7, 2020 this information is false. here in melbourne we have had 0 new cases for 38 days, with 0 active which is good. however we had a rough patch in august/september with 700+ daily infections leading us to a 3 month lockdown. we are definitely doing amazing now and have pretty much eradicated COVID, however this “8 months covid free” is not true. I'm presuming he is talking about Perth, not the whole of Australia. Regardless, life is really back to normal. I can never get a table in a restaurant anymore. Joshie S 6,557 Posted December 7, 2020 Share Posted December 7, 2020 We are somewhat back to normal, but it seems like if there are any signs of cases, things will urgently go back to how they were until community transmission is down. This looks like how they are handling it, which is fair. So yeah, as much as people are starting to gather again in large crowds, it could all be taken away by 1 case.
