Employment, access to healthcare, housing, border control, sovereignty, etc, are all legitimate policy concern areas. I do not prescribe rising unemployment, the dismantling of the NHS and the housing crisis, etc, to the EU. As I said previously I've come to the conclusion that this is due to the pursuit of a neoliberal, free market-dominated interest. However, many people felt that these problems, rightly or wrongly, were associated with the EU. In most cases, both sides can be argued, but it's up to the individual to make their own decision. You could also go down the path of arguing that the EU is a collection of capitalist states who have united together to strengthen capitalism at the expense of the worker (this is not my position, but is the position of some socialists in the UK). People have blamed different things for the various problems that we face in society. But I'm on a tangent here. I was as such meant to be debating whether or not the UK should leave the EU, but I am concerned about the language being used by both sides towards each other. By calling somebody stupid, uneducated or idiotic because of their vote or beliefs, regardless of whether it was for Brexit or against, adds nothing of substance to the debate and only serves to consolidate anger and resentment while limiting discussions to name-calling.

@Miss Dolly By negative comments, I mean comments like this. From my view, it's implying that if you're working class and you voted for Brexit you are stupid or racist, or both. I've got family members working on the frontline during this pandemic and are the roles models in my life, who voted for Brexit, and are working class. Yet without anybody even meeting them, people have already judged them as "delusional pieces of trash" while others have said that they "can choke". I think that there's a way to explain your own disagreements and viewpoints without resorting to labelling people that support Brexit as stupid racist people.

Anyway, I don't think that we're going to agree with eachother other that issue. One that we both might agree is on that we need the Tories out of government. So with that, I hope we're successful in the years to come and that we can hold this government to account.

The people who voted for Brexit are delusional because they bought the LIES by the leave campaign. The people of Britain were warned that Brexit will cause pure chaos and it has so far and it will cause even more. I hope Brexit tears this country apart because it will. I really hope it goes down the drain because all the "project fear" that were said during the campaign is coming true - they will be food shortages, travel will be a lot harder, a lot of projects will go unfunded now and a lot of businesses will go bust. I do not wish Britain well. I hope it goes down the gutter and we all suffer so much we Scots will finally get rid of this toxic union

Just so we're clear, the expression "X can choke" is used when you strongly disagree with said X person or people about something, not that you actually wish for them to choke. That would be a little excessive I think 

So, of course, I wouldn't wish that on your family, or anyone for that matter, but I am free to judge them about their political views and choices that I strongly disagree with.

I also never called them neither stupid nor racist. I just simply think they're wrong.

My apologies for misunderstanding you. I didn't mean to imply that you said that Brexit voters were stupid or racist. I didn't mean to say that people can't be judged for their political choices and views, but I meant that it was horrible how so many people have faced abuse for their views to the extent that it has prevented any serious debate, since people simply resort to name calling. Again, I'm sorry for misunderstanding.

When it comes to people’s freedoms being taking away, Full countries - Scotland being dragged out of the EU, pure utter chaos that is coming. The people who voted for Brexit deserve all the hate they get because of the chaos they are inflicting on us.
