He also pulled girls’ pigtails, tried to throw a classmate out of a window, bullied weaker kids relentlessly, and drove many teachers to distraction with what one instructor reported was a “consistently surly attitude.” As a teenager Trump was sent away to military school to try to calm down his worst impulses. However, he is quoted as saying that he hasn’t “changed much since 1st grade.” That sounds about right to me. Dennis Burnham, who lived next door, was a toddler when his mother briefly put him in a playpen in their garden. She returned a few minutes later to find the current U.S. president, then aged five or six, standing at his fence throwing rocks at the little boy.
