The label makes money when you appear at TV shows and perform the singles. The label makes money when the singles and videos chart and elevate the ticket sales and viceversa, when you're touring and a song is sounding at the commercials, the label makes money when you sell records at the countries that you're visiting and creating the hype, the label makes money when you're moving around and tabloids echo, etc. etc.

Now add magazines, brands, radios... 

It's all about dropping and resonating, then harvesting. If everyone is at home and businesses are closed, you make no money except from radio and streaming. Radio doesn't give money anymore, the opposite, labels PAY them, and streaming... you know about that already (I hope).

actually nearly all top level artists have to sign what are called "360" deals these days, which means labels get a cut out of literally everything, tours, promo affliliations, etc.  It's because they can't make enough money off sales or streaming alone.

I assume they would, since initially the tour would start on July pre-pandemic, so there is a possibility that most of the initial storyline and visuals for the tour were already conceptualized, or maybe—shot.

Whoever said that there's no music video for FW has lied to you, there's one, not finished, FW was considered as a promotional single. Now it's on hold, but it is not discarded. Wait for 2021. But this is not known yet, and the final decision still falls on Interscope.

Simply because rumours are the most exciting thing happening within this era. 
 

We all know deep down that Chromatica has had her day and the tour is cancelled. No way can she shoot 2 movies and keep to her album “plans”.
