You shouldn't talk about insanity and stupidity when you spend more than 500 dolars in a single. :awkney:

Tbh I tend to agree. Unless if it's a special edition box set like TFM / BTW / C2C, I don't understand the appeal of spending $500+ on a cd that looks the exact same but has a sticker or something else on it. I'm not saying I'd never buy it either, but I have limits.

If everyone refuses to buy overpriced promos, the prices will drop. Supply and demand. That's exactly what's happening with normal releases like Aussie PF.

But the German promos aren't factory pressed. They're usually limited to 50 or less. Also, it's not my fault that prices rose that high. I put a max bid that high to ensure I would get it, and them some idiot last second bid hundreds more on them for no reason (probably a spammer). It's not like I just bought it because it was that much. The starting bid was $10.

There probably will be another at some point though, like there comes a point where you gotta pause and be like, but will I see this again in the future? I think the issue with those auctions were that there were just far too many aggressive bidders and it just got out of hand. I'm glad I'm not that competitive, yikes

I haven't paid yet but I was going to today. What should I do? Should I ask the seller to remove Y&I from it or what? :( I'm just afraid I will never find another one in the future.

LORD GAGA

My most expensive item was LGEHEHCDX1 (remix EP), but it is now You And I EU Promo for $510 :messga:

Also, I got Chillin for $20 on a record site back in November. How much was yours?

You know what's really stupid and insane? Judas LGDASCDP1 for $400 and Edge of Glory LGGLORCDP1 for $500. :awkney:

Can I make a suggestion that you may not like... Don't pay for those items and get a refund that seems like 'ghost' bidders have made the price skyrocket which is illegal and not fair to the real bidders!

I haven't paid yet (I planned to today) and the seller can always relist :P

um.... im not judging but i dont think you would be able to call someone an idiot for bidding hundreds of dollars for that cd...

he's not the person who won the auction.

i honestly think you shouldnt pay for those items, but good luck. i hope you're happy :)

I've said this 4 times already today but let me just repeat myself. I put max bids that high the night before to ensure I would win them. I didn't know the prices would actually rise that high. Okay? I wasn't the one bidding $400 on something worth $10.

dont be mad when we're trying to help you here. you dont get the point. you put a max bid off 500 or whatever, that means you're willing to pay that much. its either you were serious or, just like what you have said, a "spammer".

its still your money at the end though. you can do what u want photo-thumb-187.png?_r=1377960736

It's not spam though. I'm still going to buy them, and I was saying, if someone asked the seller to relist it, then it wouldn't be "illegal".

i think that would be illegal.

correct me if im wrong, but the seller and the buyer are on terms in making a transaction.

relisting the item again would basically break the contract of ebay, which makes it unfair to the buyer.

The seller can relist them or can do a second chance to the next highest bidder. I think the seller paid a site to use bots in those auctions to increase the prices.

If you bid $500 then that is the same as using a buy it now for $500, you're willing to pay that much. Personally I think you're getting scammed by the seller using bots and personally I'd cancel.

The worst that will happen is you'll get a warning from eBay but if the seller is legit and it's a legit auction, the seller won't be mad and will offer it to the next highest bid through second chance.

The contract is only valid and legal once they have exchanged money. Other than that it's only an agreement which can technically be broken without qualms.

If I were you, I'd request to cancel. You can just say the reason is you put an incorrect amount (e.g. $400 when you meant $40) and eBay won't care because it seems legit.

Do you think they really used bots? :noparty: But another rare Poker Face promo sold for only $200 where as Cheek To Cheek thai sampler rose from $52 to $300 in 5 seconds. It's confusing but I think you may be right :(

Edit: You are probably right... all of the auctions were private so we couldn't see how much feedback were on the bidders.

Can you all stop dragging him? If he wants to spend 1k on promos then he will. its HIS MONEY. If i had that kind of money, i would do the exact same. When you become a true collector of ALL items, youll learn the rarity and value of some items. I guess collecting isnt for everybody. But if it isnt for you, let the people who do collect to do so freely.

Somebody tried dragging me today about collecting so i told them the exact same thing as i just said.

Congrats on the promos btw!!
