Although I expected her not to perform, I must say I’m disappointed cause it was such a great opportunity to have another tv performance or debut the 3rd single etc. Considering gaga said earlier in the year how much she wants to take us to chromatica, make it fun, do stuff that you wouldn’t know was done during a pandemic etc, it makes no sense why she would skip out. Some fans say the amas are irrelevant which is not true cause they always have such good lineups of A-listers, plus gaga performed there twice in the last 4 years. Other fans say promo wouldn’t do anything anyways which is so ridiculous to me cause gaga is very promo sensitive and it’s for the sake of giving content anyways. It’s just disheartening to see her miss all these opportunities without an actual reason. I also think she only performed at the vmas cause she felt extremely obligated to since she was the most nominated and hadn’t done a live performance yet. Not because she wanted to. Anyways, it is what it is and I know some ppl defend all her choices to death, but nobody can deny at this point that she at least feeds into the “gaga doesn’t care about her music” idea when she skips out on opportunities like this. She delivered an amazing album to us, and it’s totally fair for us to want her to do promo because it’s exciting for us... but there’s a difference between being disappointed and being disrespectful towards her needs as a human being. & if y’all are right and she “doesn’t care about the album” then would you rather her give a half assed performance that we would complain about for weeks or just stay silent??
