Little Mix's Jade on the future of the group

Little Mix's Jade had an interview today and she stated that 'Little Mix will never die', they may do their own thing whatever that may be but they'll always come back together. The girls have more promo scheduled this week (minus Jesy) to promote their new single 'Sweet Melody' as well as their 6th album 'Confetti'. They also have the tour lined up next year.

I summed it up in the OP.

She said in the future they may do individual projects but 'Little Mix will never die' like they've always said. She then went on to talk about her the album, Little Mix: The Search etc.

EVERY group have gone through this "oh we've still got big plans for the future!", which soon becomes "we're taking a small break" which becomes a reunion tour a decade in the future.

I'm not happy about them splitting and didn't mean to be rude (don't have any strong feelings 1 way or another) but this is typical groupspeak

I really feel for Jesy. I know what it's like to go through depression and anxiety and just want to hide yourself away while you get over it. Your career is the last thing on your mind, no matter how well it's going. It just goes to show that all the money and fame doesn't make you happy. I think it's really insensitive for people to start speculating about a rumoured split when this has happened, it's no coincidence. Its been suggested from the beginning that these girls weren't going to last and they've repeatedly defied the odds, they've outlasted 1D without taking a break, even though 1D were around before them. They've made it abundantly clear that if even just one of them wanted to leave, the entire band would have to break up as the dynamic would be off and they're just too close to do it with one member down. Naturally, they entered the show as soloists so maybe in the back of their minds, that's what they truly want one day but they must know their chances of success would be slim at this point, so it's best to always keep the group together at the end of the day.

LM are not like other girl groups, though. Most of these groups who came together out of being manufactured tend to be nothing more than business colleagues, that's why most of them don't last long. But these girls are genuine friends, there's never even been a hint of a rift, that's why they've stuck it out this long. Bands who speak in this language do so when they don't want to tell the truth about the bad blood within the band and LM have always spoken out against split rumours before so I imagine if they're talking like this now, it is coming from the heart and really is exactly what's being said. And if they want a break, they've earned it. They've been releasing albums every 1-2 years since 2012, so their fans must be aware they were going to announce a hiatus at some point.
