Economy 46,964
These are my two fav video games of all time!!!!! I slightly lean more towards Donkey Kong 64 tho as my all time fav! The trailers don't do them justice especially for DK64 as it doesn't show the best game world's or actual proper game parts but whatever
BlondeQueenOfGGD 25,454
Mario 64 because I grew up with it, and this theme song is so good:
homomo 23,836
Mario 64, only because that’s the first N64 game I played when my mom got me it for my birthday back in the 90s. Plus I played it so much more than DK64 (although that was a really fun game too) Honestly, the N64 has probably the best games for any older console: - Ocarina of Time & Majoras Mask - Mario 64 - Banjo Kazooie series - Mario Kart 64 - Diddy Kong Racing - Goldeneye - Paper Mario - Mario Party series - Perfect Dark - Pokémon Stadium Just to name a few 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111

GagaSine 7,464
I have to go with Mario. Even though I played both Mario gives me a greater sense of nostalgia. In university i would play it on my laptop with an emulator lol

DK gives me more nostalgia and I just love the design of DKs open world's, the music, the maze backtracking and everything. It's so amazing But Mario 64 has a really cool concept and I also love it for what it is hence why it's a close runner up for me so I still totally get why ppl would choose it over Donkey Kong Also Mario 64 was the highest grossing game of the N64 game console while Donkey Kong was #7. Still very high up on the list but seems more people would agree with you than me

Wish there was a remake or something Yazzzzzzz Such awesome open world's and concept and stuff. And it was a challenging game which I enjoyed I too would like to see a remake with better graphics. As much as I love the game, the resolution by today's standards is tragic I wanna play banjo kazooe which was made by same game makers and is a similar concept and I've played bits of it and seen others play and it has cool world's too and is simmilar idea although I hear it's a shorter and simpler and doesn't have as much backtracking and problem solving So I dunno if I would like it to the same degree as Donkey Kong for the simple fact that the difficulty and problem solving and multiple steps and the sheer size of the game is part of what I enjoyed so much about Donkey Kong 64 in the first place! MadreMonster 2,584
I need to go back and play donkey Kong - when I was young I would just run around with no goal in mind
Pablo 7,296
One of my siblings bought a n64 with a dozen or so games on Ebay back when I was young and I could not get into DK64. It wasn't clear what to do, and I gave up probably just after starting. This was before I knew to lookup walkthroughs on the internet With SM64 it was more accessible to me, jumping into a painting was easy and simple. Even though many of the stars were hard to get there were so many world I could jump over to if I got stuck or frustrated. SM64 is the better game IMO Don't visit my profile

I'd LOVE a remake by today's open world standards .... I don't think Donkey Kong ever did anything like this again which is sad. + Tiny Kong was an gay ICON
jimmytimestep 2,451
I picked DK64 *only* because with the release of Mario 3D All-Stars, I’ve been reminded that while it is amazing and groundbreaking and all that, Mario 64 has some incredibly frustrating camera issues that make it less fun to play today. DK64 didn't have those issues, and the boss fights were way better and more interesting. 1 hour ago, homomo said: Honestly, the N64 has probably the best games for any older console: - Ocarina of Time & Majoras Mask - Mario 64 - Banjo Kazooie series - Mario Kart 64 - Diddy Kong Racing - Goldeneye - Paper Mario - Mario Party series - Perfect Dark - Pokémon Stadium Just to name a few Amen to this. Literally all of these games deserve full remastered remakes!!! So lame that Nintendo did not give 3D All Stars the full remastered remakes they deserved! sarahb 16,209
I've never played Donkey Kong 64, was it better than Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2? Because those games were great.
ilocorB 547
I almost picked mario 64 because DK is such a pain in the ass to complete... coming back in all the worlds with all different kongs... but i loved it. I voted for it since it’s such a big game, (there is so much stuff in that game!) and the graphics are nice! My favourite is probably Banjo Kazooie tho!
