This day in 2019, FKA twigs released her sophomore album Magdalene. Musically, the record differs from its predecessor LP1 in the sense that is more downtempo and baroque-oriented - while preserving at the same time the experimental production twigs is know for.

The album was supported by 4 singles: the ethereal piano ballad Cellophane, the trap-influenced Holy Terrain, the dichotomous Home with You and Kate Bush-esque art pop track Sad Day.

The record also includes huge fan-favorites such as Mary Magdalene, Mirrored Heart and Fallen Alien.
