I don't get why people always feel the need to like psycho-analyze Gaga lmao... she's probably acting "weird" because of stuff like this where her every move and action is followed and debated over.

Like we all go through different moods, it's not that major to me

I think it’s weird that people do this too.

Maybe she didn't plan on winning that night and it came totally unexpected and that's why she acted that way. In interviews she gets anxious just when she struggles how to explain something. I think the ASIB era was completely unexplored for her, like she never lived a hollywood era before you know, it's understandable.

Everything about this. Comes off creepy and parasocial honestly.

I love her but I do find her behaviour on camera to be a bit off. She always seems like she's trying soooo hard to convey whatever message she's trying to convey. It's comes of a bit cringey to me at times. I think fame has a tremendous psychological impact and it takes its toll on high profile celebrities like her. Just look at Britney. I even think Lana has been acting very peculiar recently.

This was the award speech that got me thinking ”what? What happend? I don’t recognize her”

the facial expressions and heavy breathing.. I know she is overwhelmed but I was chocked when I saw it.

but after that in her Joanne-radio interviews she is totally like herself and I enjoyed them a lot.. I guess it goes up and down for her

I just think she's lowkey traumatized by her own success. In the beginning it was still new to her and she was clearly still very "into it." But I think at some point after she hit that rough patch in 2013 of breaking her hip and permanently f*cking up her body, getting betrayed by her old friend/assistant Jennifer, then Troy and countless other people I'm sure, and seeing how much fame has warped her life and the people around her she became scarred. I'm sure there are other things too that she hasn't spoken about. Also the fact that her fame has likely been the reason that every one of her relationships so far has failed. When you go from being no one, to becoming the most famous person on the planet in such a short time at such a young age, obviously that has to be jarring, especially to someone who feels things very deeply the way that she does. I personally don't think I would be able to handle it. So to me it makes sense that she's a bit shaken and fragile now because of her experiences. She even said during Joanne that she's more nervous than she used to be. To me it only seems natural given what she's gone through.

She walks a fine line between Lady and Gaga, and I know that may sound cliched, but Bobby and her had to majorly rehabilitate her public image after ARTPOP, and quite frankly I think she does sort of put on a public persona. Those of us who were fans of hers before then can see the difference, but it’s a necessary evil she has to deal with it she wants to keep public opinion on her side. They obviously can’t tolerate prolonged exposure to her more “weird” side, a la the entire ARTPOP era, but she seems to turn that on in more shortened spurts nowadays (VMA Performance, Paper Mag, etc) and counteracts that with spurts of overwhelming, somewhat artificial “normalcy” (Together at Home, Biden endorsement, etc).

Same... it didn't help that her entire face was plumped and snatched for the gods.

well she is mentally ill so maybe that explains it. that’s not to sound mean because it isn’t. her moods fluctuate and other things happen and it shows physically sonetimes.

Don't be mean. What your talking about is a general response of feeling at emotional service to someone else and your emotional surface feels at odds with your emotional insides, so people think it looks fake, when in reality it's a symptom of the complexity going on in a situation and your mind. The stigma and stress of mental health construe and anti-psychotics can make it worse, especially being concerned about how your identity is being perceived. It's not even that it's insincere, but it might be unbidden to what someone really wants to convey. But we know Gaga is real, and real enough to show this and push through it even if its hard to do. I don't think anyone should be picking apart her behaviour or criticising her personality though, her personality is solid and made of all the dimensions that are truly her. Even if she doesn't tell the you and the general public everything or has a secret private world, and it doesn't need to be said in any way other than what comes naturally to her, which if we look at the facts of the universe, would say these are expressions of the natural realm.

The transformation began, in a very subtle way, in 2014. Now a days she seems completely robotic, sans that moments of brightness she had on Kimmel

Yep ARTPOP really scarred her, she seems to want to win the gp with her robotic acting idk.

I see it and feel it too. The way she acts now is like she's being over the top on purpose, she's acting like the auntie that tries so hard to be cool :enigma: and I'm not hating, I love her so much, but yeah, her attitude nowadays is so cringey but cute at the same time, but it does make me cringe a lot. When she was performing at the VMAs I was hoping she would get rid of the Enigma persona but it was the same, the way she walked, her hand gestures, her speeches. During her early days she felt so effortlessly fearless and cool, like, I don't know, she was such a bad bitch in every way, it was so fun and empowering to see her perform and talk, now is kinda awkward but she's a 34 year old woman who suffers from anxiety, depression, PTSD, goes to therapy, suffers from chronical pain and takes medications, all those factors could obviously affect someone else's personality but I'm no doctor, so it's just a guess. I love her regardless, and I always will. I just hope we get the same old Gaga back someday, I don't want her to go back and make dance pop all the time and wear crazy outfits all the time, no, I want her fearless, diva-like and confident personality back, that's it.

absolutely agree and this shift actually occured before then. I'd say the awkwardness in her mannerism began during the ARTPOP era. Prior to that she had theatric over the top behavior at times but during ARTPOP it became awkward and then she tried to rangle it in during the Joanne era but it would still slip through from time to time in a weird way like the examples you showed above. I think it might be a mixture of anxiety and other issues with her mental health which Gaga has mentioned before. I can sort of empathize because I feel like I've gone through a phase like that for a couple of years due to crippling anxiety. I felt like I couldn't even speak normally anymore. It was horrible. But for some reason like a couple of months ago my anxiety has subsided and I'm feeling like my old self again. I can converse like I used to, I can make eye contact, I can hold long convos etc...where as before to do all of that I would have to almost space my consciousness out of my self in order for me to talk to people and the result would be me acting in a weird awkward way like Gaga in those videos. I really do not know how to explain this...it's odd but I can relate I guess

We all do this to some extent, though. It's impossible not to
