Like who?

Gallego. Like I know the rose twitter crowd is iffy on him but he's reasonably progressive & does well in Arizona & supports several progressive policies. He also is a veteran, again I know something rose twitter doesn't like, but it plays well with the normies.

A lot of people think that if Biden doesnt run for re election in 2024, then it can come down to Harris vs AOC. And I do honestly think AOC could win the presidential election :bradley: but that's just me. AOC massively appeals to minorities (which dems need to re appeal to for 2024) and among the highest rated congresspeople

Thing is Crowley beat her soundly with Black voters when she beat him a few years ago.....

Such positive vibes. I can't believe we are so positive in a political thread but kill each other on a thread about Chromatica.

We’re united by our hatred for that man.

We’re divided by Gaga’s promo choice.

This is the thing tho—I'm a progressive and I can't see AOC types winning GA, AZ, etc. like Joe. I believe Bernie could have won, but he wouldn't have been able to carry GA....Joe also drove up the Black vote by a lot compared to Hillary in Michigan, and I doubt Bernie could have done that considering how he did in the primaries with Black voters.

Socialism is good imo but I also believe this is a f*cked up, racist nation that is deeply conservative & we need a Tammy Baldwin/Gallego/etc. type of progressive to run for prez instead of AOC. Tammy's almost or arguably as left as Bernie but she is VERY careful about language like defund the police (again, a GOOD thing but it doesn't fly with most of the US) & dodging the socialist label.

We can't keep playing into the right and their fearmongering tactics against the Left. At the end of the day the Democrats need to start advocating for raising the minimum wage, legalizing pot and other popular progressive policies that affect people's day to day lives and bring younger people to the polls. Bernie would've had Latinos turn out in much higher numbers, as well as young voters imo. Look at some of his Latino support in the primaries. Meanwhile the Biden campaign lost Florida, and one of the reasons people pushed Biden was because he had a better chance with Latinos in FL.

Absolutely not.

No more of this “pragmatic progressive” nonsense. No more running military Democrats that Republicans literally never vote for. Amy McGrath lost by 20+ points. That strategy didn’t work, hasn’t ever worked, won’t ever work.

The old guard has to go. Completely. The squad, Bernie and the actual left are the future. This embarrassment of an election has to be the end of moderate leadership, point blank period.

With lots still to vote in Philadelphia county.

And, speaking of Philadelphia, my favorite Elton John song:

AOC will be 34 in the primary race in 2024, would she be able to run?

That is true, but AOC just needs to make her appeal to black voters if she became the dem nominee, which wont be hard at all. Even then, the Democrat party needs a larger appeal to hispanics in the sun belt if they want to win FL, AZ and maybe even possibly Texas in 2024. She is the best candidate to do so.
