I am following the updates. I just don't don't believe all of them will manifest as predicted.

Even if Joe Biden wins, the victory will be a pyrrhic one for the Democrats — nothing is going to get accomplished. Congress will be the same. We have to wait until the 2022 midterms to vote the Republicans out of the Senate. It’s proof that the midterms matter JUST AS MUCH as the Presidential elections.

I’m just cynical because of the level of obstruction the Republicans were guilty of during the Obama administration. Executive orders will be the way to go.

I’m not American but I’m also interested on the US Presidential outcome. Especially that I’m from a very poor third world country, the elected POTUS will surely affect our economic situation. And to some degree, influence the political climate.

 

However, let’s not get ahead of the US monsters. I’m pretty much sure they know more of the situation there and they will be the primary victims of any repercussions of the election outcome.

I think there's a whole range of reasons. Although I would argue that Trump has portrayed himself as "one of them" and he has voiced a lot of inner frustrations with people while being able to exploit their fears and scapegoat people. This is consolidated by him discrediting the media and facts, which his supporters then follow, since they have placed their trust in him. That's what I think has happened.

I'm in no way a Trump supporter. I'm part of the "radical left" as he would describe it haha.
