Jase 13,417 Posted November 6, 2020 Author Share Posted November 6, 2020 I'm so, so happy right now Dump's presidency has been an absolute disaster - it has added fire to the racists, it has divided and ripped apart immigrant families for nothing more than wanting a better life, it has made people less safe, it has seen significant erosions of democracy, decency and electoral impartiality. It has sown the seeds for a new generation of fascists and will not be going away any time soon. He has made it that people challenge objective fact - which by it's very definition is devoid of bias - and given people the confidence to write their own versions of reality which they then impose on others. He has undermined global stability, cosying up to dictators and despots and has wasted 4 vital years in the fight against climate change. That there will hopefully never be another Trump should be the greatest testament to the last 4 years - elect someone totally unsuitable for the job, you end up with a gigantic mess. It's not the end of course, I mean look at how many people DID vote for Trump after all he's said and done... they won't just dissapear, but maybe they won't be so empowered and emboldened by their president once Trump's gone. Biden + Harris can start healing all the damage that bloated orange wretch has caused and course-correcting the last 4 disastrous years of his presidency. Sending all the lose to all the minority voters who really swung this election in Biden's favour and huge hugs to all the LGBTQ+ people in America.
