This. Some of the only honest and transparent opinion and analysis I've seen in here.

This election was NOT good news, for Joe Biden or Democrats around the country. And in fact should be sounding the alarm bells for all of us, because Trump IMPROVED his performance among most demographic groups compared to 2016.

I don’t entirely disagree.

Trump four years ago and this thin margin now represents hate for the establishment.

That being said - The Biden win ends the Trump derangement syndrome. We cannot move forward as a country with that still happening on the left and the anti-Trump right.

The work is by no means over, but is is not bad news for democrats. It was never going to be a landslide and it’s also not as close and dire, it seems that way because so the way people voted (mail ins)

I think he can and I thought about that too. Will he still be alive and well? Who knows? Karma is real and it could hit him at some point

Yes, there's nothing legally for why he couldn't. He's only served 4 years, the limit is 8 (2 terms).

It would require him to win the primary again though, but I'm sure he could easily tbh bc his support hasn't faded and I don't see it fading among Republicans after this election. :awkney:

That's unheard of.

He technically can but won't happen in this world...

Completely separate point from the one I was making, but yes I agree with you.

I'll be very glad if Biden wins and think it will be better for the country relative to Trump. That doesn't mean Biden will unite it or that partisanship will suddenly go away though.

Yeah, Biden will hopefully be able to put the burner on a simmer though.

I'll settle for a non-Qanon f*cking nut case being the next GOP nominee honestly :toofunny: Trump needs to be an anomaly.

The economy will also be hurting from COVID-19 and other Trump administration moves, so whoever wins this election will be to blame for that mess. If it's Biden, republicans will have a field day for 2024.

Agree. I don’t see how the GOP goes back to people like Jeb Bush or Mitt Romney. They should have seen Trump coming with Palin and the Tea Party. It all paved the way.

But I could see Ben Sasse running for President and doing well. The thing about Trumpers is the majority just for the R.
