Biden Cancels Two Campaign Events In Texas After Trumpsters Actions

Multiple videos posted to social media on Saturday morning apparently show Trump supporters in trucks and cars harassing a Joe Biden and Kamala Harris campaign bus in Texas, causing the campaign to cancel a planned event in Central Texas.

A Biden campaign spokesperson told Forbes that the Trump supporters “attempted to slow the bus down and run it off the road.” And one local Democratic Party leader, Katie Naranjo, tweeted photos and said Trump supporters “followed the Biden bus throughout central Texas” and “ran into a person’s car, yelling curse words and threats.”

 

Texas state legislator Sheryl Cole said that because the incident “escalated well beyond safe limits,” the event would be canceled for “security reasons.”

Texas State Rep. Rafael Anchía wrote on Twitter that the Trump caravan was encouraged by Eric Trump on Facebook and claimed that some of those involved were armed. And police were called but refused to help.

The fact that every single one of them is not locked up right now is such an injustice. Imagine if someone did this to Trump? I'm so tired of hearing the both sides argument when one side is literally begging for rights and the other is aiming AR-15's at their heads.

They seem to have forgotten that we have AR-15s too, and we don’t aim until we have to.  If it does devolve into a civil war, lotta Trumpsters gonna be surprised and pissing themselves.

So far, the worst antics are in Texas (this violent confrontation and the attempt to invalidate drive-up votes in liberal Harris County). Texas is going to flip blue; maybe not this election but by the end of this decade it will. Texas is projected to be 48.6% Democrat this year; it was 43.2% Democrat in 2016 (42% projected), 41.4% Democrat in 2012, 43.7% Democrat in 2008, 38.2% Democrat in 2004, and 38% Democrat in 2000, so the blue wave is coming to the Lone Star State. This scares a lot of people who like the old prejudices and power structures, because once Texas becomes reliably blue, the Republican party will no longer be a viable political force at the national scale.

No matter what happens after next week (please vote if you can!), I am fully preparing myself for some sort of conundrum.

Far-right people, while they have always been historically violent and destructive, have been quite the bit extra these last few years. Especially these last few months. No doubt their antics will continue, no matter the outcome of the election.

Reminds of back in the day when yt Republicans tried to harass some Obama voters in '08 & the New Black Panther party showed up armed to protect voters.

Trump's going to lose. People panic but even if the polls are as off as they were in '16 he'd still lose. The terrifying thing is if he barely loses that his supporters will go nuts/not accept the loss. It's why it's important he gets crushed.
