1900-1920: Interbellum

1920-1940: Silent generation

1940-1960: Baby boomers

1960-1980: Gen X/Baby bust

1980-2000: Millennials

2000-2020: Gen Z

2020-2040: Alpha, I guess?

I believe that's how we're doing things  I think the decades are split somehow though. Like, the last boomers were born in the mid-60s even though the 60s were the start of gen x.

Generations are meant to be 20 years though  they have been for a century at least. Gen Z started in the early 2000s which means the next gen doesn't start until 2020 at the earliest. More like the mid 2020s.

Gen Z is considered starting in 1996 and, for some reason, gen alpha starts in 2013.

i feel like the concept of generations need to be revisited cause culture moves so quickly now that even being 5 years apart is kind of a big difference. i'm technically a millennial but did not experience everything/identify with everything that is "typically" millennial
