ChvVolk 2,510
We are experiencing a pretty bad fire out here in Orange County, CA I just had to move my aviary birds inside because the smell is so bad. Ashes everywhere. I live about 13mins away from the last place just evacuated so anxiety is through the roof. I also live in Lake Forest, so you guessed it, I'm surrounded by woods and dry grass. Lots of hotels are full already. They say an electric company accidentally started it. Just waiting for evacuation but I'm prepared with water, backpack with clothes, I have over 30 pets so that would be a struggle trying to figure that all out. Eido 3,681
I have a question, why waiting for the evacuation order if you know you'll be struggling with all your pets ? Stay safe !

Stay safe ! Well I don't drive, I uber and lyft to get around so I don't have a car to pack everyone up, or a place to go yet, hotels won't take me in with lizards, frogs, snakes and tarantulas. As of now, my area is still safe and the fire is 5% contained. So moving all the animals and exposing them to the outside air when I may not have to evacuate will be stress inducing. Right now they're all safe in my house, not dealing with how bad the air is. They give you a warning if your area will be under mandatory evacuation or if they recommend you start getting ready to potentially evacuate, so that first warning, I'll be ready
