Is Joanne + Chromatica a Wizard of Oz journey?

So I have a theory. Just like how TF and TFM are a pair. What if Joanne and Chromatica are a pair too.

We all know her love for the Wizard of Oz, and Judy Garland. The Monster Ball 2.0, DITD shoutout, her Applause (Oz) performance on GMA, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow in ASIB.

What if this theme is continuing? The humility of Joanne was “uninteresting” but I think she took on the role of Dorothy in Kansas. See Million Reasons and her longing to be somewhere else.

What if Chromatica is basically Oz? The colors of the rainbow in the Chromatica tribe lends itself that it is “somewhere over the rainbow”, literally and full of technicolor.

What about Rain On Me? For me lends itself to the storm that Dorothy and her family endured.

Well what about 911 MV? Dorothy had a concussion and experienced a dream or alternative reality, when she finally woke up she saw everyone as clear as day. (911 is basically Perfect Illusion 2.0).

What about Sine from Above? Elton John is known for using Wizard of Oz imagery in his concert tours. Conveniently the Chromatica symbol also has the arch of a rainbow.

I personally view Joanne as positively kaleidoscopic in its variety of musical styles and moods. This idea people seem to have of Joanne as being a fairly uniform collection of stripped-back soft rock/country balladry is honestly so baffling to me, because it only tells half the story. Imagine thinking that an album as strange and bold and ambitious as Joanne, where songs as wildly different as Dancin' In Circle and Come To Mama and Perfect Illusion and Angel Down coexist side-by-side, could be likened to the black-and-white Kansas of Wizard of Oz!

Or even the transition from BTW to ARTPOP. Black and White vs Color on STEROIDS.
