If Fun Tonight had a beat drop...

(I've been told by @PartySickto reach out here to publicise threads)

Hi guys, I've seen someone mention here a while ago that Fun Tonight sounds like it needed an instrumental drop after the chorus, so I got inspired and made this concept inspired by Sine From Above's drop. Any input is welcome. Enjoy!

First sounds of the drop appear too early, but hey! It really sounds fitting!

I've been getting messages from my deep waters

Yes that's what I said since my first listen to it.

After the build up of the chorus the beat should've came in but never did. Also is there a full version to this one.

For me I really like the original way, there doesn't need to be a drop at all. It's like a nice "twist", when she says im not having fun tonight, because we expect the opposite from the title. The song then continues and you're left like whow wait what? If you add a drop, it becomes too cheesy, like: ha! Look what i did there! Now ponder about it while I play a generic beat. Plus the album is already shockfull of drops so it's a welcome break from that

chaeri pls

Yes if there was a predictable beat drop, then Fun Tonight would have sounded like all other song in chromatica with same formula,  now at least the "disappointed buildup without beatdrop" is iconic :huntyga: also it made the last beat drop more explosive

Hit me a message and say hi !

THANK YOU!

The song is about not having fun tonight. It's about how she can be on a high one minute, and then all of a sudden the emotions, the anxiety, the depression, etc. just hits and all of a sudden she feels down and depressed. "This moment's hijacked my plans" exemplifies that exactly.

I don't understand why people go, "FT needs a drop, it just doesn't sound right. It would've been 10x better if the production was different." I feel like those people don't understand what the song's really about :smh:
