It's always better to have visuals to go with the amazing music she gave us I would say 75% There’s a fair amount of people who just want promo because their dicks get hard seeing a single or the album higher on the chart. So much assuming and ignorance in those posts, so sad. Little managers stay being the most embarrassing part of this fan base. KNJ 4,170
The way yall think pulling her team together for that VMA perf was easy, 100% safe or replicable at a moments notice...There mustve been at least 20-30 Haus members, plus the production crew, risking exposure for that. Whatever big CHRM performance comes up has to be effing worth it. The way yall think you'll really be satisfied (on any level) with a backyard performance of club music...cuz y'all responded SO well to a version of this at Club Quarantine The way yall forget there's still NINE WHOLE MONTHS until the tour... it is absolutely possible to exhaust Chromatica's image to the point of complete apathy when the tour promo starts The way y'all think there is a playbook for promo during a plague...be grateful for anything from any artist at this point. The way y'all think the rich and famous are totally immune to the sh!tstorm going on in the world and aren't doing anything out of pure laziness...these times are depressing af and no matter your situation, in top of performance restrictions, one may not have the mental/physical/spiritual energy to pump up happy awesome things for our consumption atm TL;DR This sh!t isn't simple and risk free. ToxicHot 6,444
It is what it is. She’s probably just tired. At least we got a number one single, and a number one album that both debuted at the top. I want more from her but we don't know exactly what's going on behind the scenes. dOnT sAd ReAcT mE 2 bE sHaDy i WiLL RePoRt U!!1!

The album and its singles will not rise almost at all promo or otherwise. Post album singles have not and still arent going to be a success. Exactly! Making music is art, SELLING MUSIC is a business. Gaga makes MONEY from album sales/streaming! Why would she TURN MONEY AWAY?? Either way, it's HER money, her music, her life! She's not our real mom... We're not getting that $$$$. Why are WE so desperate?? The album was released 5 months ago. We're spoiled by ASIB, which benefited from a blockbuster movie, now available on TV/streaming around the world! Chromatica is NOT ASIB... which some of her fans (strongly) disliked anyway! We finally got a dance-pop album after 7 years, critically-acclaimed (her highest-rated to date), with 2 top 5 singles, and 3 music videos! Be HAPPY, for once, and let her do her thing! For those obsessed with charts, RAISE MONEY to buy her a number one... on iTunes! DID 911 CHART?? Little monsters are NOT nearly as dedicated as the Swifties/BLINKS! It's not a one-way street, you know? Look in the mirror! She'll do another music video if it's something she really wanted or to do, like 911, or an exciting concept, etc. It's up to her! BTS BLACKPINK TAYLOR SWIFT FANS RAISE MONEY TO BUY NUMBER ONE Just ask the Swifties. "We also all really wanted 'CARDIGAN' to be Taylor's first self-owned No. 1 song." ... But ARMY's coordination can't be overstated. They started raising funds and preparing streaming and BUYING guides weeks in advance... Funds For Bangtan received roughly $40,000 in donations, and they've consistently raised even more funding...

Gaga just seems to get everything 10x harder. katy did so much pre release and then she birthed a freaking child. she still has 20 more performances for her smile era than gaga for chromatica You will learn respect! The VMAs was the FIRST major awards show since the pandemic began, a platform for her to reach the GENERAL PUBLIC who may be interested in dance-pop, to gauge audience reaction. It's obvious the GP wasn't interested in 911, or it'd have moved up the iTunes/streaming charts after the show! Fact is, the GP LOVED her in ASIB, but she went right back to dance-pop! A BALLAD/love song or two would probably appeal to them, but there's no room for something like Shallow/ARUTW on Chromatica. It's her choice! Chromatica is very personal, like a diary. She's not gonna to rewrite her diary, so to speak, just to make it more RELATABLE and GP friendly! She writes for the music not the charts! If you're a fan, you should be proud! Post album singles have not and still arent going to be a success. literally this is what you think makes the site intetesting? Shoving your head in the sand and saying the same basic complaints for days on end? Why does everyone think that asking for promo = we want the songs to chart well and have all the bling It literally has nothing to do with songs rising on charts or anything. It’s simply nice to have content for the era, be it visuals, interviews, costumes, performances etc. And we all know it’s more than possible to do and we all know it’s been her most underwhelming era to date. And yes, if she’s willing to consistently promote (sell) haus labs during this time, then it’s understandable for fans to expect or want her to do the same for her album. Also if her team has been weighing on the costs and the benefits, they surely messed up on only having 2 singles proceed the album when the new standard is to have 3-4 songs proceed so they still get success from singles. Had she released the amazing MV the Friday before vmas and actually made it a single with a radio deal, then performed it, I’m sure 911 would have at least cracked top 30 on the chart

This argument worked from March till about April/ May when every other team had figured out (and continues to figure out) new ways to promote Tell me how Gaga, literally THE performer and THE visual genius, with fibromyalgia, and with her first dance-pop album in 7 years, hasn’t, and seems like won’t, take advantage of the situation? Without travel and with being in a controlled room/set versus random stage, the performances require little to no travel and can have more special effects, angles, and bells and whistles than ever before. Sorry that I am disappointed that while artists like Doja Cat and Katy Perry have killed the game in this aspect but Gaga and the team haven’t lifted a finger. Yeah Gaga is Gaga and in a completely different league, but it doesn’t mean I wasn’t excited to see how my favorite artist would try to make the best of the situation and still deliver a killer ERA. TL:DR I’m grateful for a killer album, health, and the fact that Gaga is at least popping up regularly on the socials, but I won’t be grateful for being disappointed British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS

At the beggining I'm pretty sure Gaga had a lot of hope for the album's success but after the whole COVID situation + protests, plans cancelled and the medium to poor commercial reception to her higly anticipated dance lead comeback, the label and Gaga herself decided to not go for the hard promo route, and to be honest, I don't see any song from the album having any type of commercial success. Rain On Me debuted at #1 for the hype and despite being featuring Ariana Grande and having a very mainstream dance sound, people just don't care much about dance music anymore so it didn't stick. I agree that the singles underperformed and chromatica will fail to have an impact on the gp but I don’t think that’s the reason why promo has stopped. The label put heavier promo on Joanne even though that was her worst commercially received album to date. I honestly think she and her team got tired of having to replan everything and she just said f* it, chromatica is pretty much dead in the water.
