I'm sorry but at this point no one is falling for this narrative. Israel keeps eating away at Palestinian lands and is rendering it a jigsaw puzzle with no contiguous borders. The whole narrative of Israel doing this for self defense has reached its limits when you take a look at a map of current day Palestine. Are Palestinian authorities wrong for not taking earlier "peace deals" that would have given them a proper state with pretty good borders? YES. But we live in the now and right now Palestinians are literally facing one of the world's most inhuman embargos (DURING A PANDEMIC), facing tons of economic setbacks because they do not own a state of their own are in a constant and perpetual state of limbo waiting for their own nation state with borders that make at least a slither of a sense. People are fed up with both sides but at this point to turn a blind eye on this issue and equating Israel and Palestine on equal footings is wrong. Point blank: one side has a prosperous internationally recognized nation and the other is living in a state of constantly having land snatched up and being most importantly STATELESS. No progress will ever be made if Palestine does not exist as a nation state and at the moment Netanyahu's government and the leading elite is doing everything possible to halt a chance of that ever occurring. AOC simply is not falling for the long standing narrative of ALWAYS lashing out at Palestine and completely ignoring what Israel does. Ilhan on the other hand has used an anti semetic trope and it was totally wrong of her yet she apologized profusely. Doesn't mean a Jewish person should forgive her of course but it does sort of make the narrative of her being anti semetic sort of weak because she did regret her action and has not repeated it so far. She is ignorant for sure and I'm not the biggest fan of hers after that BUT AOC's criticism of Israel is not anti semetic and people should stop trying to paint that narrative. It's TIRED and outdated at this point.

There is nothing conspiratorial about the influence of the Israel lobby. It’s in plain sight.  The United States gives military assistance to a country that openly commits human rights violations and is currently engaged in an illegal occupation - thanks to those lobbying efforts.

Israel does need to defend themselves and there are situations where it is self-defense and self-protection. Just yesterday, rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel. What are they supposed to do? Just let them wipe their land off the map? Let them kill all their people?

To remove the entire context of them being at war is an inaccurate and misleading way to discuss this situation.

Legitimate criticisms of the Israeli government are fair and NOT antisemitic. I've said this many times. AOC and Omar's talking points, however, go far beyond that. Not to mention the groups and people they support.

If this were about any other group, there would be no arguments regarding their bigotry. At least not from socially progressive left-wing people. But when it's about Jewish people, it's another story. There's a double standard there. For me, being hateful towards one group of people is a deal breaker. Always has, always will.

No, the US gives military assistance so Israel can defend themselves. As they should. They are at war. The situation is complicated and that context needs to be included.

There have been many cease fires, which the Palestinian side has violated every single time. There have been many offers for a two-state solution, which the Palestinian leaders have rejected every single time. And it's for no other reason, but that they want Israel wiped off the map. They don't want a two-state solution. 

Israel shouldn't be left to have it's land and people wiped off the map. 

Claiming Jewish people bribe others for support is a classic antisemitic trope. If you don't understand that, maybe you should educate yourself on the subject.
