Is the Chromatica era messy?

Not messy. Just doesnt really felt like we were in an actual era.

Its not like she did nothing but... Lately in gagas pop career is everything very short lived and she doesnt do much to keep the momentum.

Her plan had great gigs, it would def be a short era, cause tour finished in august/sept. And then shed have vegas.

Shed have enough content to keep the momentum.

But yeah, i think this situation just proofs thats not the best strategy in 2020.

The messy part is how she didnt used traction from sour candy in none of its opportunities. For ex. How the iphone promo was short lived and died in the plataforms pyblishing the video and now tgey have it in theyre new phone right?

Its like she comes, slays, people talk. .. Fades out. She gets silenced.

These videos for voting make her so reliable, cant she mix the bombshell gaga with some of that witt.

She doesnt need to be doja cat or cardi, having livestreams  but her strategy just doesnt really leave an impression on the public. Also this music, sorry but doesnt help.

To me chromatica is just a temporary era, to sadisfy a bunch of people and make clear that space in pop sphere is still hers.

But yeah, when i think about 2020 i dont think about gaga.

If you’re one of the ones saying it was messy, it’s only because there is a global pandemic going on. I’m sure if the pandemic didn’t happen, it would’ve been a flawless and iconic era. I have the utmost respect for her and her team to rearranging everything planned and making something out of what could have been nothing. I feel like they did the best to their abilities and we still got great memories, music videos, and performances out of a situation that could have been either potentially scrapped or just had the album release and that’s it. I’m happy with this era.

If she or interscope hadn’t delayed the album over and over this would have never happened. Should have came out mid 2019...

I don't think they pushed it back but Gaga barely finished the album by mid 2019 I don't think

Chlorine

It had its rocky moments and some things could have been handled better but I don't think it should be called messy.

Overall... it was a really successful era and I think it'll be a benchmark for future albums honestly. The combination of critical / commercial / creative success is really rare for any artist to achieve.

This is a good and valid question. I have some input on it too.

I can see why some might see it as messy however I refer to it as inconsistent. There have been a lot of silent periods for various reasons. First, I don’t think Gaga or her team intended for the Chromatica era to go the way it has. This record came during the worst times the U.S. has experienced in recent times. We all know from interviews that Bobby had worked very hard on lining up promo for this album. The world just wouldn’t allow it to happen. Gaga being the kindness punk or kindness angel (as I call her) that she is would never ignore suffering in the world or in her own country. I’m so thankful and amazed by her kindness through helping with the pandemic to raise $900,000,000 and also sharing her Instagram platform with Black organizations. Gaga does what she does to help people. Helping people is always her number one goal. Even now during the U.S. election she’s making sure she used her platform to help young voters to know how to register and stay informed. I think that’s great too.

I personally want to say to you all that just because we worry or are sad about the era being over doesn’t make us “bad fans.” It’s okay to be worried. We’re used to having consistent promo with Gaga I know. This is very different but also not her fault. I’m very happy with the things we have gotten. It’s amazing they were even able to do 3 videos during a time like this. I too will admit I get concerned about the silence and wonder if she’s lost interest in the era or in music but I think honestly it’s more the way the world is. Gaga’s not someone who promotes herself when other voices need to be heard. She’s truly the kindest person and is genuine in this kindness.

I am always grateful to Gaga for what she does. I too believe and have always believed she’s so much more than just a pop star. She’s an artist, actress, activist, and philanthropist. I do hope they don’t give up on the era though. I do appreciate everything she’s doing. I know she doesn’t owe us anything and deserves to be happy doing what she wants. I’m grateful to all the help and support she’s giving to the world.

There are still people using Covid as an excuse? :bear:

If she wanted, she still could have made much much more with Chromatica. Before you jump me: I’m not saying this era is messy or stuff like that. And she’s very kind with the Vote/BLM/Charity stuff. And yes, we got great MV’s and one performance.

why not adapt to the whole situation? Do virtual performances. Do acoustic sessions via Instagram. Lord do SOMETHING with Chromatica. Don’t need to make the Chromatica ball all virtual. Look at all the other artists (I’m NOT saying I like them more, so don’t come with the “uhm maybe you have to follow other artists” BS)

what we got was good Gaga stuff, don’t get me wrong. She could’ve done more. And we all know that
