I had someone code at work today. I had to RUN up and down two flights of stairs TWICE at full speed. I was almost hyperventilating by the second trip down while carrying an EMS bag. I had no time to breathe for quite a long time. But, I KEPT my mask on, regardless. I hate having to wear a mask 40 hours a weak. I hate not being able to hug my Oncology patients while they’re on the brink of tears. This is DIFFICULT for EVERYONE. But we need to do our best for the people around us. F*ck this anti-mask propaganda, because I work healthcare. I have friends that work healthcare. We’ve been seen FIRSTHAND the things that COVID-19 have done to the our patients. There is NEVER a reason to not wear a mask. PERIOD.

 

OT: Maybe C-Sections should be mandatory for the priority option so that way women won’t have to deal with the distress of natural labor while having a mask on. If they opt out and choose a natural birth, the OBGYN should explain the risks and inform them the mask NEEDS to stay on.

I too work in health care, it doesn’t make us special. In 20 to 30 years you will see the effect of constantly rebreathing your own carbon dioxide.

Have you ever given birth? My guess is you haven't so you are in no position to say it's not hard for a woman in labor, who's in an EXCRUCIATING amount of pain, to breathe through a mask.

I wouldn't call it trolling.  It's a common attitude where you can condemn people for not having the same opinion because you're sure your opinion is right.

I feel like this is the attitude that led to a lot of people being banned or leaving recently.  At the end of the day, even when you're right, wanting to condemn people for their opinions and beliefs without fully understanding their perspective is judgmental and it's toxic to a healthy community because this attitude seeks to silence and condemn.

Can we just try to calm down? I don't know why people are this attached to their opinions, overprotective of their own ideas. .. We are not only defined by this, we shouldn't be this "rigid" with ourselves, we deserve better.

This covid situation is kinda "new" for all of us, this is normal if people act differently. Some decide to obey to what they think is the best thing to do, some are questioning. But everybody is affraid and lost. Affraid to die, to loose loved ones but also affraid to see the world change or to be manipulate.

I understand when someone say "Being forced to wear a mask is a normal thing because I don't want to die because of other people" but I understand too when someone say "Being forced to wear a mask make me feel like the world is deshumanized".

We shouldn't call someone "fool" or "idiot" even if we are persuaded to detain the holy truth, be humble and benevolent for god sake! 

Another thing, stop talking about "sexism" when there isn't, because this honorable fight loose his power if we cry wolf at the wrong moments.

In fact, I realize people are no longer able to think for themselves in order to be good for others, it's kinda sad. People use concepts, ideas and values they only know on the surface. They hide themselves behing this big ideas and concepts and they forget they are more than that.

Please try to act like nice humans, stop to assume things about people you don't know, stop to categorize people, we don't belong to a specific box. We spend our time talking about kindness but we act like closed minded people. Even people who think they are representatives of morality.
