About the topic at hand: I'm not sure what the policy is where I live in the US, but I'm surprised that they're not performing rapid-results tests on people in labor. I recently had a family member in the hospital, and he was allowed to be maskless in his own room; he only needed a mask when he was wheeled in public for procedures, but obviously for certain procedures they had to remove his mask. As soon as he was admitted to the hospital, he was tested for covid, and the hospital staff is tested regularly. 

But I do understand the logic of the lack. People in labor are breathing heavily, and thus spraying aerosols everywhere. I have never given birth wearing a mask, but I've done aerobic exercise wearing a mask, and it was fine. In cases where it's hard for the person to wear a mask, it seems like doing a rapid test would be a good idea, along with having the attending staff all wearing N-95s and face shields.

Even if, according to your theory, people weren’t dying from COVID specifically, people are still dying. Why not take as many precautions as possible to avoid those deaths, whether it’s caused by COVID or flu? You claim that the government is trying to vaccinate us in order to force massive depopulation upon us or smth, yet you’re against measures that aim to avoid as many deaths as possible?

maybe if they get a mild case of covid they'll learn that even if its not deadly to everyone, they still dont want it

I would slap a doctor if he told me to wear a mask in a situation like this.

These measures aren’t about health. They are about control. I’m sorry you can’t see that.

One of my mom's friends is a very known doctor that had to go to a COVID hot spot to help with the cases, he is a very experienced doctor and said to us that the virus is very real, dangerous and that masks do help a lot, I would rather take his advice than someone like you who has no idea what they are talking. If a pregnant woman has COVID I believe that whole medical team should be prepared for it and wear special equipment. Simple surgical mask worn by a woman in a closed room won't help much, just bring more stress to the whole process which should be avoided. COVID patients don't sit with masks on in hospitals...
