I like to listen to music in my streaming app and DWUW it's not there. I downloaded the original album with the song, but it's in my music app on the phone, and i don't like the design that much :selena: Also, sometimes I forget that I still have this song.

i prefer apple music to any of the other apps though it changed recently with ios14 so it's taken some getting used to

Gaga has always been VERY generous with her song credits as per RedOne's own words.

I always thought it was really cute from her to do so but I never expected it to be a problem :saladga:

I really like DWUW but, if I'm honest R.K. verse was good vocally but lyrically :awkney:

Maybe yes, maybe not, but my original ARTPOP CD (featuring DWUW) is now worth a bit more $$$ because of that censorship. :yennefer:

I understand the level of controversy surrounding the song due to the R. Kelly feature, but why not just replace the song with the solo version (which I think sounds way better anyway). The song itself had nothing to do with sexual assault topics, it just uses sultry lyrics to convey a message of empowerment.

DWUW is arguably one of the biggest songs on ARTPOP and could of been one of her biggest songs period if she’d done it solo.

Yes, it's necessary. Obviously. (I'm a WOC so I'm biased, I guess.)

If I were Gaga I'd have done it sooner, before I got called out for it.

And no, I wouldn't have replaced DWUW with a different version/song. Why on earth would I do that??  I made a mistake, owned up to it, cut my losses and moved on!

Gaga made a mistake and apologized for it. I'd also blame the people around her, especially those from CHICAGO (where RK's from) who should know better. They could care less.

As for icons in the Black community who worked with him and/or didn't speak up for various reasons? They owe his alleged victims an apology.

Gaga made good on her promise. She removed RK's version on streaming services, iTunes, etc., and announced in Oct. 2019 that NEW Vinyl and CD versions of ARTPOP (without DWUW) would be released on NOV. 11, 2019, just over 6 years after its original release on Nov. 6, 2013.

Which is why I found it HYSTERICAL that twitter stans freaked out when she tweeted "I don't remember ARTPOP" - ON THE DAY OF ARTPOP's RE-RELEASE... Nov. 11, 2019! ;)

Who kept her promise? Who remembered?? Not her fans, some of whom (still) adore RK.

To each their own.

When ever I listen to ARTPOP and manicure finishes, I go straight to YouTube and listen to the R Kelly version :huntyga:

Her choice to work with RK seemed questionable to me from the start

Her label was pushing for her to have an “urban artist” and DJWS and Tara (who was her makeup artist and bestie at the time) were big RKelly fans and suggested him.

Do What You Want ft. Robert is ICONIC and perfect, and should have been left on the album

Shouldn’t rewrite the past

People think Michael Jackson was a pedophile but we still pop our pussies to Thriller every Halloween

Okay but Gaga is a Caucasian woman who stands up for rape and was up for an Oscar that year

I think she should have known better that having RK on that record singing about doing what he wants with her body and adding to the mix his polarizing reputation, was seriously troubling and would raise a lot of eyebrows, especially since she's rape a victim and dueting with an alleged sexual predator.

Just make a playlist and add the Xtina remix lol but yeah they should've actually done it themselves when re-releasing the album :rip: do think she kicked out Temple etc. for it and cancelled Venus as a single just for her to later delete it :rip:
