But after rewatching I think she did meant it like you said she just phrased it weirdly 

Gaga was doing her job for her. Interviewer wanted a gossip interview and Gaga wasn’t having it

I don't think so. There have been a few of these threads recently where the opening post is in the same apologetic/innocent style asking some very specific question out of the blue, and it's designed to start a conversation about something that puts Gaga in a bad light.

It's not that deep, the interview is just super watch and funny to watch since it's old af lol

That was not my intention AT ALL. If anything, we are commenting on how awful the interviewer was and how during this era Gaga dealt with this ALOT and sympathizing with her. I hadn't seen the interview in 11 years and wanted to see it.  We are having a laugh and appreciating the fact that Gaga does not have to deal with this as much anymore. And sorry if I "sounded innocent" or used "omg" too much did not know it was that triggering.

I've never seen this, but not only made me cringe it also made me angry.

Come on, do your job. Listen to her album, ask about certain lyrics and the meaning behind them, about how she feels about her recent nominations, what's coming next year? new album on the works? next single?... that's what fans want to know about, not everything is rumors and controversy, that's lazy to me.

I'm just glad this gossip kind of journalism is slowly changing, and people are more aware that celebrities are still humans doing a job for a living.

 

Also, yes, she's only going to talk about her personal life when she wants to.

So who was Gaga's manager at this time, that the video keeps referring to off-camera? Sounds like a woman in the video but I don't recall a woman who it could be Or did the reporter/station mistake one of Gaga's other handlers or entourage members for being her manager?

The least I could do afer that was to watch the interview.

I think it was very petty by the interviewer. She chose to edit it and comment on it the way she did to try to make Gaga look bad. Kinda foolish, I think. I can't imagine people queueing up to be interviewed by her after seeing that.

During this time she was very keen about talking about her private life. I remember one interview where her team sent the interviewer a list of thing that shouldn't be asked, and the interviewer only asked those exact questions just to make her angry. I found it so sad, she had the opportunity to interview Gaga on the beginning of her career and she did that  

Now, I do understand Gaga wanting to speak about her art and being frustrated because people didn't take her seriously and tried to ask her things they would ask to regular pop stars. She just wanted to talk about her artistry and they kept on asking her about rumours and gossip.

It's also interesting because you can see how people in the beginning were trying to decipher her, trying to see the human behind the artist, and she didn't want to show us. There was a point on her career on which she realised that she couldn't hold onto this idea anymore, but she kept it going for so long that people forgot she was human, even her own team/management back then. Honestly Gaga's career is on to study if you want to understand how fame works. To this day you can still see how fame and its consequences is the main inspiration behind her art, not on a superficial way obviously.

Omg I remember that one do.  Gaga was super professional though and answered them. It was so mean spirited because they began the video listing what questions they shouldn't have asked and being like "We are gonna ask them anyway lol" . Just awful! It really shows why she became so guarded, triggered, and closed off from interviewers during this time.
