Rob Pattinson allegedly faked CoronaVirus;THE BATMAN IN TROUBLE

Batman’s main thing is is use of gadgets. Like, his belt is more iconic than his body contact ever was. I don’t blame the director for being frustrated. But I also understand Pattison’s lack of “beefing up” even tho Batman is usually buff af.

on a side note, Pattinson does seems like a pain in the ass to work with Ngl :ladyhaha:

Don’t know why they would cast Robert as Batman tbh, he’s just ... not.... it! And shouldn’t they add conditions and clauses to his contract ensuring he’s complying with the director’s vision which includes the body’s weight and fitness level desired for the role?

Showbiz, and mainly Hollywood, is about who we know.

Reeves casted Pattinson for the role after he sees one movie starred by him, namely Lost City Of Z, and directed by one of Reeves' friend, James Gray. He was impressed with Pattinson's acting skills and asks Gray about the actor's name.

Okay I think I should that add, that if Matt Reeves wants Rob to buff up, he should do that, it is Matt's vision after all. It sucks that there are clashes on the set. I really want the movie to succeed and be as good as possible. But generally I don't care if he's buff. Batman is literally a martial arts experts, with a bulletproof suit and a huge number of gadgets. He doesn't have to look like John Cena to fight crime. It's a superhero movie, it doesn't have to be realistic. But can't they just like, make his suit in a way, that it makes him look buff. It's not like they have to show his body.

Besides it's not like he's straightup frail or anything

The fact that Hollywood thinks this man "looks like a stick" is why I have body issues :huntyga: (among many many other factors but ya know!)

OT: I can see both sides to this argument. Robert is obviously rebelling against toxic Hollywood standards and standing for what he believes in, but he's also being very difficult/causing technical problems with shooting, and being unprofessional when he knows what was expected when he signed on for a superhero movie

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I wouldn't believe this source one bit, this is a fake insider. They already spilled a lot of wrong Star Wars "tea".

If it’s true, I side with the director... sorry. As an actor, you are there to fulfill their vision, not yours. Pattinson knew what he was getting into when signing the contract.

I don't think this is real, but in the off chance that it is, this goes beyond 'rebelling' against society standards for men's physiques. It's quite unprofessional.

 His accent ended up sounding...unconvincing.

You should hear him speaking French in The King...

Why would he adapt his body to stunt doubles? Isn’t that supposed to work the other way? :air:

When Pattinson took the role, he agreed to whatever it was that the director and the creative team required him to do. I’m sure that working out was part of the contract or something. I mean, you hear about Marvel actors working out all the time and there are no complaints. If this is true, I feel like Pattinson is just being stubborn, which sucks because I really want this movie to succeed.

Rob, just quit if you don’t wanna cooperate with the director & his vision

if anything this movie will probably bring robert’s star power and reputation to a new level, so if he doesn’t want that then please give the opportunity to someone who will be grateful and appreciative of it.

Why is he problematic? Does he not wanna move on from being known and stereotyped as glittery vampire? :oprah:

He’s already done that. Maybe not with the GP, but he’s considered an indie darling.

Oh behave. Pattinson has worked hard on a lot of indie movies over the last few years, was a lead in Nolan’s latest film and generally has a good reputation and a solid track record.

Exactly my point, this Batman gig will help him to recover his image with the masses who are not into indie movies.

What's that gotta do with how Reeves decides to cast Pattinson?
