That’s actually a weird double standard. As you know I’m from India, I’ve seen so many homophobic men be comfortable with two women kissing, but are ready to beat up two men doing the same.

But Adasrh, not to defend Indian Media, but there are numerous films and tv shows which contain two men kissing. Did they cut off Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan - scenes?

Never knew they accepted lesbianism on tv and not gay males

i’m just basing what the tweet said so not having a dig at you:) he said they allow lesbian and heterosexuality however exclude gay men. again, i do agree with what you’re saying which unfortunately is a part of some countries but this scenario just seems...strange lol

men rule in their world. Hetero men like pretty girls kissing each others because it is hot for them and two men are not.

this is correct, but people shouldn’t be excusing at as a “religious belief”. if they believe homosexuality is a sin, they should be practising what they preach. being lesbian  is homosexual. just screams bigotry to me honestly

better still, why do they still have an issue with it in 2020? this ain’t even about religion anymore honestly:billie:

Good for him for speaking out and making it known. I hope he does more than take to twitter to try to at least get the conversation started in how a change can be made.

Before anyone comes for King Dan Levy, Indian mythology and books has ancient recallings of homosexuality and orgys + homosexuality was made legal in India last year.

He's not indian, he doesn't understand their culture, many countries are still not evolving in certain human rights, you're not gonna change anything by yelling at them on Twitter especially if you're not from India. It would make a bigger impact if an indian actor, director etc spoke out about it. He just looks like a fool

Well at least you're self-aware

You're completely right, we should just sit back and do nothing and let people be homophobic.

He still has every right to be outraged. The hypocrIsy on this site is amazing. Y’all flip out over Christians who also usually don’t accept homosexuality but anyone else, you want to make excuses for? Please.

What a ridiculous post. The network was fine to show homosexuality in the form of a girl on girl scene. Yet the guy on guy scene literally a few seconds after gets cut. Levy doesn’t look one bit the fool. Equality isn’t achieved by staying quiet, especially in countries that have an issue with the concept. It’s his show, it’s his product, him in the scene. He has every right to make some noise at any network in country if they blatantly show they have an issue with gay men / his show. :toofunny:

i completely understand and get what you’re saying about this, however i cant get my head around how woman on woman is completely fine but man on man isn’t.

like if you’re going to be a culture against homosexuality for “religious reasons”, isn’t homosexuality in both sexes wrong? this statement of allowing a lesbian scene and not a gay scene shows it’s purely bigoted and not because of their morals.

Even if it were based in their “morals” and applied equally to gays and lesbians... it’s definitely still bigoted lol

He doesn't look like a fool because he's not Indian. Regardless of the culture or religion, human rights and inclusion applies to everyone.
