This is the right thing to do when you make an honest mistake. Educate yourself, apologise sincerely, and do better moving forward.

Time to cut her some slack. We all make mistakes, she's just on a global platform.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

damage has been done, but i haven't seen an apology this straightforward in a while, if only other artists did that when they mess up, and they do, no one is immune to being ignorant and crossing a line

Glad things have been straightened out.

Is it bad that I found the song really catchy :saladga:

That’s nice of her to say but the whole thing is ridiculous. She doesn’t owe anyone an apology for them being offended over a religion. And that’s with any religion. It’s just an ideology that you’re choosing to follow, not something you are unable to change like your race, sexuality, or gender identity

this was nice of her  you can tell her apology is really sincere and comes from a genuine place.

I have never seen apologies work as well as this one, wow Rihanna really does everything right, doesn't she?

With other celebrities, people usually still cancel them even after the apology but Rihanna's one felt so sincere, mature, accepting, just flawless, I don't even know how she does that.

And like I said in the other thread if you’re not Muslim keep it cute or don’t say anything at all.

People were offended, and she rightfully apologised and addressed it, now keep it moving.

I’m Muslim and I was uncomfortable and not happy with the choice to use a Hadith in a lingerie show. If you’re not Muslim, let alone religious, it’s none of your business how people like us react to such instances.

Why are we even comparing race, sexual identities and genders to what faith people choose to follow? What does that have to do with Rihanna doing the right thing? The damn nerve.

Nothing to apologize for:shrug: Yes it was offensive to some, but so what. You don't have a right to not be offended.

Besides, if I were her, I would not apologize after some of the comments made about her. I saw comments saying that she "sold her soul", "is controlled by satan" etc. If people were talking about me like that, I sure as hell would not apologize. It should be clear to everyone who's the most disrespectful in this case; the one who used a song featuring a Hadith (without knowing about the Hadith) or the ones who talked about her "selling her soul" and being "satan's puppet".
