(WJW) — Paramount Network has resumed production of the hit television show “Cops” months after its cancellation, FOX News reports.

The network canceled the show last June in wake of the death of George Floyd and the protests pushing for police reform.

Now, officials say the show will be returning and production is currently underway in Spokane County, Washington. The county has previously hosted the show.

A spokesperson for Langley Productions said the new episodes will not air in the U.S., according to FOX News. The episodes are reportedly being filmed to fulfill international television contract agreements.

Shows like these only serve to give the departments they film good PR. They will never air episodes that show cops screwing up, breaking protocol, breaking laws, or otherwise putting them in a bad light. That's why these departments do it in the first place. If it was anything but that, they wouldn't participate.

So it wasn’t canceled. Lol

According to this it was, but they have contracts already set out for international audiences that they have to fulfill. When a show is cancelled, it usually just means that they won't get their contracts renewed, so if a contract was already in place it will continue to term.

Sister

I doubt there is still an audience for this anyway.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
