M.I.A follows

Doja Cat (Say So)

Nicki Minaj (Say So, Trollz)

Megan Thee Stallion (Savage, WAP)

and Cardi B (WAP)

and becomes the fourth female rapper this year to get a #1 single on the Hot 100. i believe this makes 2020 the first year to have this many female rap #1s

THE DECADE OF FEMALE RAP IS BEGINNING!

Who do yall wanna see get a #1 next?

City Girls, Ivorian Doll, Rico Nasty, Asian Da Brat, CupcakKe all deserve:vegas:

, i thought she was over:kara:

i mean her solo work isn’t doing commercially well, the song is a Travis Scott collab

that said, it just depends what you value. if her work is still good and enjoyable, then she can’t be ‘over’ because she’s still doing something positive for people

Cupcakke will never get a number 1, her streaming base is limited and she has no radio appeal at all.

City Girls will probably be next of the names on that list

Still a fan (despite her messy anti-vaxxer comments, which she kind of clarified lol)
Do we have to be a fan of her Patreon page or whatever it's called to access her new music?  Confused on how people share new music these days (still stuck in iTunes and Spotify).

In the US? Could you maybe post the song title? :toofunny:

it’s called Franchise, it’s a collab with Travis Scott and someone else

At one point said she is still releasing a normal album on a label. The Patreon was just supposed to be for other stuff. She released a track called "Up Inna" (on Spotify, idk where else) and put out out an unofficial track "CTRL" on her website for free recently. I thought the album would come out 2020 because of the whole "Visions" slogan she had, but who knows.

Agree the vaccine stuff is less black & white than it seemed at first, but it was messy nonetheless :bear:
