Björk's seventh studio album, Biophilia, was released 9 years ago today! The project explores links between music, science, nature, and technology. The innovative album was also the first "app album" ever released. The Biophilia app allowed users to play the songs on it, as well as create new songs from the available sounds. Each song had an app that was linked to its theme (thunder, viruses, tectonic plates...). Biophilia eventually evolved into an educational project consisting of a series of workshops that teach music using the album's app. The album also featured many innovative instruments in its production, such as a gameleste, a Tesla coil, and a gravity harp.

One of her more underrated albums! It’s rarely mentioned by fans as one of their faves, but it’s such an interesting album. Some songs are such an adrenaline rush:giveup:

Fun fact: the outro of Sine From Above immediately reminded me of Crystalline

What you want Lady Gaga🥂 What you want with Christina🥂

Once I am a little more free again :selena: i think we'll just skip over  Volta since not many seemed to want it and do more popular albums. Probably around December.
