Cyberpunk 2077 developers will be crunching, despite promises they wouldn't

I was so excited about the game at first.  I understand how much work goes into a video game. Some people need to understand that games today are not just coding and programming (albeit there is a lot of it) and require a lot more work to produce. Hence the prices of most games nowadays.

My heart goes out to the devs. I understand that they are trying to push the game before other big titles arrive in November/December, but this is just nonsense.

...this IS the Adele of video games, this year. They have nothing to fear lol

Exactly this. To quote Miyamoto over from Nintendo

"A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad."

Problem is, they’ve delayed so many times already that the investors are pissed. At a certain point (now) they had to be forced to crunch, since they ran out of delays to use.

November is the month of the consoles and their exclusives. Sadly, I think that's what most people will be talking about then. I guess they wanted to release the game before next gen but it didn't happen unfortunately.

Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.

Yeah, very true. Im sure there a lot of pressure from investor, creditors, the public, etc. It sucks just cause its clear they are passionate about this project and aren't interested in pumping out a new game each year (i.e. like Pokemon)

Do you understand that Cyberpunk is coming to define the next-gen RPGs, replacing The Witcher 3, right? There's no more important release this year than Cyberpunk.

I haven't researched that much about the game as I usually like to go in not knowing anything when playing a new game. I understand what you all are saying. From what I have seen, it looks A M A Z I N G. Will probably end up buying it when it is on sale or something. Thanks for the telling me this. Might have to research more. :firega:

Born This Way

I'm glad they're being open and honest about it. I feel bad for the devs tho. They better get time off in exchange for the extra days/hours a week after the release (and launch patch(es)).
