@MingersPrayer No other song so perfectly aligns religious ecstasy with sexual passion. This was a new definition of Madonna and helped to redefine rock music. A crowd pleaser and most of the GP fave madonna song. I love it (obvs) but it's not in my Madonna top 10 of all time.

@Blown Away This song will be the winner for sure. Not that it wouldn't deserve it though. I love the angelic atmosphere of the song in the beginning, she vocally shines there. Then the song quickly builds up to the chorus, which is catchy as hell, to slow down again. This contrast is what makes the song for me. One of her best songs of the 80's.

@whoresup Beautiful, stunning, transcendent. One of the best songs of all time and of course one of the best videos. It has an instantly recognisable melody and production that will stand the test of test. There is an emotional but courageous tone to it and it captures a wonderful time in Madonna’s career. Genius!

sorry I've been missing from GGD lately. I'm going through some sh*t and transitional phases in my life so I took a break from GGD or even much of social media. I'll probably be checking in once in a while but may not be doing rates.

I missed the whole thing. I didn’t realize it was today!  But i enjoyed going through it in order to see the results.  Have to say I’m pretty happy with them. Cherish did pretty well although I would have liked to see it go top 3. Sad that it’s the end of the Madonna rates!  Thanks again @Aarghya!
