K Schumer

Keep up the fake fighting, meanwhile you do nothing substantive nor use what power you do have to fight this confirmation, whether through procedural or otherwise.

Would you rather support the republicans?

Lay it out for me. What should he do? What can they do? You're apparently an expert of the Senate's rules and procedures so lay it out for all of us in significant detail.

Get outta here, Trump supporting MAGAt

Hmm. A Democrat controlled House does nothing about... anything, really. In fact, Democrats do nothing substantive in their own cities as well. And when people criticize this, they are branded as Trump supporters. Hmm. The fact that they are not the majority in the Senate means nothing when they don't do anything except allowing Trump to do everything he wants even WITH a majority in the House.

Classic liberal behavior. Protect your useless politicans and push the blame on civilians EVEN THOUGH it is the politicians WHO SHOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO and ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING. The question "what can they do" should not be directed to civilians who criticize. It is the politicians job to work for the civilians, NOT the reverse.

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

Dems really can't do anything right now, since they have the minority. It would take at least 4 Republicans to cross the line and vote against her. So far we only have Sen. Susan Collins of Maine and Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska saying they'll vote "Nay," and that is if they keep their word. The only way Dems can stall this out is with a shut down of government, but Pelosi said she will not do that.

If the seat in SCOTUS is THAT important, why wouldn't she do that?

People would literally die we’re in a pandemic and we simply can’t shutdown the government, come on. Also, a shutdown would not stop this Senate vote where the hell did that come from?

How about you actually put out into the world what you want to see. All I hear is complaints. Let us know what you want Schumer to do.

If you want to see change in your community, run for something. My local Dems are doing a HELL of a lot of good. Expanding healthcare/Medicare to over a million people in my state last year. Massive investment in roads, public transportation, state wide LGBTQ employment protections (finally!), and massive education investment.

I’m also incredibly proud of our 4 new Congress people we sent there in 2018. They’re all doing amazing work.

Because shutting the government down is a pretty bad look for democrats. It will cause thousands of employed government employees to not receive a paycheck.

I personally believe a shutdown is the only option they have, and some Dems have stated they are willing to pack the court if Trump nominates a justice, if Biden wins that is, increasing it to around 13 seats total

Gurl calm down I'm just asking, I obviously wouldn't ask if I knew. Y'all know I'm not American, I've repeated that maybe a hundred times, and your system is incredibly confusing, but since I am a very political person and I have some people I truly care about in the states I have to care about that election too.

They'd probably use it to gather people against Democrats I guess, it could add to Trump's neverending propaganda.

Yes, on the brightside it usually takes at an average 90 days to comfirm one, which is pass Nov. 30th, which means Dems have the chance to narrow the vote if Mark Kelly wins his race in Arizona. (Arizona law Mark Kelly can be sworn in as early as Nov. 30th)

Absolutely not, but it'd sure be great to have a party that actually fights and uses its power as the Republican Party does.

I can't stand them, but I can at least give credit where it's due.

Lmaooo I'm as anti-Trump as it gets wtff

I'm just not a sheep enough to pretend the Democrats actually act like an opposition party and fight for the things they claim.

They like to talk the talk, but never walk the walk. It's all symbolism with them but no substance for Democratic leaders.
