Is the new Instagram algorithm making you wanna scream?

Hi, fellow creators/artists  (regular users will suffice too)—who are using Instagram as one of their main tools for gaining exposure!

Are any of you suddenly having trouble gaining ANY engagement whatsoever, lately? Because mine has been in a random decrease since last week or so. I'm talking about reaching a 100 people in 5 minutes to now reaching the same amount in half an hour or more, only

YES. I swear Instagram releases some of the worst updates for people. I used to get about 100 likes an hour for at least 5-6 hours now I’m at about 40-50 an hour. Literally the worst

It's SO discouraging in regards to even wanting to post my work lately, when I knoe that no one's going to be seeing it anyways

It's been an uphill battle for smaller accounts ever since the timeline changed from most recent to most popular, Every update since it seems to get harder and harder to reach your own followers let alone new ones.

There's nothing you can really do other than paid promotion, People protested the original change way back but their focus is on influencers and celebrities and I don't think it'll change.

I have a fan account, and I have noticed a decrease in likes. (Though to be fair, I was on a social media hiatus for a large portion of the summer.) When did this update happen?

My story views usually average ~200 and the past couple of weeks I'm barely scraping ~100. I'm starting to get fed up with IG, all I see are ads and big accounts or celeb accounts that I follow and the 'normal' people I follow less and less at the top of my feed.
