DC - Livin' On The Radio (Demo Version)

DC

Featured Posts

I can't believe I'm doing this :bear:

But I found an old demo version of Livin' On The Radio from early 2019, this was before Technology ever happened and I started making Livin' On The Radio on November 29th, 2018 :enigma:

That's probably why it's the most "Technology" sounding song on the album Blue, because it's an unreleased song from that era and thank GOD was unreleased during that time!!! :derpga:

Without further ado, here's something I'm super unproud of! Enjoy! :giggle:

Why do you keep comparing me to her? :toofunny:

I'm flattered but she's so much more fabulous than me :air:

What is your goal with your music?

My goal is leaking all of my thoughts into words and melodies, my next album I'm writing I feel like I'm literally extracting myself into the music and I know exactly what I'm trying to say, like a poetic book from the heart

And I hope that with this kind of poetry people can digest it into an experience that maybe they went through that they didn't like and see that even with these experiences they can still turn it into something glorious. I made Why Me? from an insecurity I used to have where I didn't know why my girlfriend liked me, she didn't tell me but it was obvious, and I liked her, but I didn't know if I was the right person for her to be with and that's the whole song basically, and I turned that insecurity into my biggest single of all time :firega:

A lot of the times though I don't only extract meaningful powerful stuff from myself, I like to have fun and I take ideas and inspirations that I have built up and I use it in the most creative way possible like what I did with Livin' On The Radio, a song that's full of late 2000's inspirations and pop star stereotypes where partying was the main theme in pop music. It's full of references of going out, clubbing, playing your song to label executives, and even a Jersey Shore reference. I like to have fun and even if I don't connect with it personally I can make it so I connect with it musically :)

Thanks!

But if your goal to actually be a commercial artist or is this more just a fun art project for yourself?

I'd like to say it's a giant art project for myself that I want to make commercial, I would LOVE for everything of mine to be brought out into the public view and that's what I'm gonna try to do for the next era. I'd love to just book a gig at a bar and play there live but I can't do that with the pandemic so :rip:

BUT I have a plan where me and my dad and hopefully some of my other family will go to this one bar my dad and his band used to play at and I could do a whole set there. It's nothing too big but it's a start and I want to get used to performing live in smaller areas first. Singing live scares me and also makes me feel really accomplished when I finish and know I did a pretty good job, at least good enough if no one notices my mistakes :bear:

I've listened to your tracks here and there on this forum and I've got to say that you have a good pop potential! What I would like to suggest is to go way deeper, I mean find your own way for creative expression. For example, lyrically and melodically (?) this sounds like a Britney x Gaga mashup (paparazzi on me, the title alone...) I definitely want to hear how you will improve :)

I've definitely gotten way deeper in the album I'm working on right now :)
