Mr S 8,476
Now that we saw how SL played out (high debut due to LG hype but did not catch on with the GP), and how amazing the 911 video is and the dissecting and conversations that are required for it, do you agree "911" would have been the better lead? Obviously hindsight is 20/20, but 911 couldn't have performed any worst than SL plus there would be so much conversation about the video as it's her return to form musically, visually, and in terms of statement making. This is not meant to bash SL/Gaga's choices, yes we know Gaga can do what she wants, yes no one knows at the time how things will go, and yes none of us are managers so we don't need to see those type of comments. It's just for fun conversation (and also for more 911 praise )

Damon 10,897
Rain On Me could have been a smash hit as a lead tbh ... and now i just sit in silence.

It was smart to release it right before the album came out. I think Stupid Love was forgotten.
steven 5,714
No, SL was the perfect lead as it introduced the world to Chromatica. From the futuristic aesthetics to the iconic choreo, Gaga made her return to pop music in full force.

DiskoBaby 1,929
911 is a weird song. It sounds catchy but it’s hard to really understand everything she’s saying in the song.
LIKELADYAGAGA 4,080
When listening to the album for the first time, I thought 911 should have definitely been the lead. It is the perfect Lady Gaga lead. Different yet meaningful.
DirrtyPony 1,330
I think everything played out the way it was supposed to. Stupid Love wasn't a smash, but it was the perfect introduction to Chromatica. I feel like Rain On Me and 911 were excellent choices to follow up with. I wouldn't change a thing. Strung out for another taste

Bonkers 28,580
I feel like 911 was a lead up video to Sine From Above. Sales just aren't there for it to be a single. But the video is INCREDIBLE. And I think we're going to find out what it was that saved Lady Gaga's life and gave her what she needed to become Lady Gaga. We're going to find out how real this Sine From Above really was and I can't wait.
