Honestly if her initials weren’t lg it would’ve looked tacky but i think it was fine and added irony in several layers

That completely took me out of the story. Maybe they should have put a symbol to LG in the hallucination to justify it being there. Unless there is one and I missed it.

The biggest symbol of the video itself - the global pop star LG.

I think it was so clever - using the “life’s good” as irony in the video. At least it wasn’t a beats pill like all of the videos in the early 2010’s :ladyhaha:

It's obvious product placement but like another commenter said, it fits well in the context of the scene. I also think the irony of the slogan "life's good" while there's chaos and death scattered on the road is somewhat intentional, or at least works well. Never took me out of the scene at all.

But with Gaga whatever she does it has some relevance. People bagged Telephone for being one long sponsor ad reel but it’s part of the music video itself. She knows this is what needs to be done, money needs to keep flowing because the record label itself doesn’t want to overspend and they probably can’t even afford to during the pandemic and the social unrest in the US and other parts of the globe. The way she incorporates it in videos is her doing it the best way possible to fit with the song itself

Did you not read my response? Why is it that anything slightly negative gets a lecture? She’s done lots of music videos with product placements and the early ones were very obvious and I already stated that I get the idea that it’s necessary since it’s how videos get funded.

I was saying IT would have been better if they had made it subtle and why do everyone always mentions Gaga like she’s responsible for everything? The video is directed by Tarsem Singh Dhander. Plus the sponsor gets their input as well. I was only suggesting yet you got defensive.

It wasnt that bad...plus the brand is tongue and cheek cuz Gaga is LG...LG life is good was a cute irony of how crazy her life is when others wanna make it seem its all glamorous

Did you hear Gaga screaming I don't want to die in a chaotic accident as "Life is good" spread across the screen. It's almost twisted humor and I love it for that

Because you didn't understand it?

Understand what? Advertise a brand in a music video for finances and money? Y’all the ones who keep praising it for “Life’s Good” at the end or LG is LADY GA GA wow what kind of art is this.

Again. In my opinion, it looked cheap. Deal with it.

It doesnt bother me because it makes sense, billboards exist everywhere.

And "LG" does fit Lady Gaga anyway

And the "Life is good" also worked in that situation.

I dislike product placements and I feel it does cheapen it.

but at least it served another purpose.

Lady Gaga = LG

their slogan “life’s good” sending a message in desperate times don’t give up life’s worth it.

honestly it was probably one of the smartest product placements as it actually held a meaning

Gaga's friends in real life call her LG and the sign said "LG, life's good", it showed a white dessert with a black horse, it was done perfectly. Ads like this are all around in real life and her unconscious mind was putting together everything she saw in her last moments before going unconscious, including the billboard.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Oh here it goes. Another GGD member that responds to what’s supposed to be an OPINION with anger and judgement. If you don’t want to listen to other points or views disable comments. Seriously I’m over with this place lately.
