Like a David Lynch film. It’s brilliant. Gonna have to watch it a hundred more times to decipher it though. To me, it feels like 911 is G.U.Y done properly. Like how i think gaga would've really wanted it to be. excuse me no

Mythos 3,199
I dont get why so many people who liked the video concentrate on people who didnt enjoy it? What's the issue? Be happy you liked it and watch it over and over again :).
2School4Cool 6,449
At first I thought the whole concept was only centered around the “Oasis, paradise is in my hands” lyric. I was confused for the majority of it and felt that it would take time to figure it all out, but then the ending hit and it all clicked. That was so emotional and painful to watch, but so so powerful. There is so much symbolism, so many intricate details. The prison bracelet on her ankle (“I feel like I’m in a prison hell”), I’m sure her yelling that she can’t feel her leg has a relation to the body pain she deals with, and so many things I’m sure I didn’t even pick up on. You can tell how passionate she was about this project and it’s amazing. Painful to watch, but a beautiful piece of art. We’re proud of you Gaga! Wet Fire 7,736
By the way, the art direction reminds me so much of Bergman's The Seventh Seal. And she also used medieval art's "memento mori" vibes and placing it within a religious framework.

And honestly, I would count myself amongst them. Like I would NOT have been here for some minimalist thing lmao. But other than the typical "group MV choreo" this video literally served everything anyone could have asked for in a Gaga video. This is maximalist, art-student pop star Gaga at her peak. I really don't understand how fans couldn't like this (or at least appreciate it's quality).

Most of her music videos are inspired by something and portray something in particular and have reference to art of the past...
