There are other apps that get information from you though. I’m not saying it’s right or anything like that, but why specifically ban TikTok when we have a lot of American apps and sites that gather information too?

China has their own version of tiktok, it's allegedly collecting users' data for political purposes

What we use is the international version, the company didn't censor anything on the platform yet but the problem remains the same

Of course Trump is not a good person with no interests, so he's doing to favor USA, not because he's really worried about americans' data of course.

The main difference is that China is a dictatorship, proven to use those data for unethical issues. As I stated before, while the fact that FB and Google hold my data is a problem, if those companies would collaborate with a dictatorship would be way worse than now...

Noooooo, didn’t the US operations for the app get bought by a US company the other day? WTF, this is bigger than TikTok getting banned, this is censoring by the government. The fact that TikTok is getting banned, but Facebook is still up and running really bothers me.
