Didn't WHO warn a couple of days ago that Europe in particular will witness a jump in cases and death during October and November? :selena: I'm not even in Europe but the worldwide increase of cases is giving me anxiety  :selena:

Also my brother who's in France just told  me that they reopened schools then shut down 150 of them because of covid. And the University of Montpellier is now a cluster. So yeah if they're gonna keep refusing online learning and exposing their population through educational establishments I don't see how it's gonna be under control anytime soon.

The same happened in my country. They opened up universities and schools in September, and then during the first week covid started spreading among students and instead of closing schools and doing Zoom lectures, they just started putting entire courses into quarantine who had been in contact with an infected person. Most professors aren’t willing to do Zoom anymore and people don’t want to wear masks, so you have to sit in the classroom and just hope you won’t get infected. During the last two weeks, around 200 students from my Uni were in quarantine and others had to continue going to classes, even if they might’ve been in contact with an infected person. Nothing will change, if it continues like this.

Yet, it's "no big deal" to so many people. Trump has made a mockery of this virus and it's a shame, we could of at least sort of helped the spread, but instead people are just enabling it. Can you imagine wanting to SPREAD a virus because you think it's FAKE?

As the weeks go on, I don't see life REMOTELY resuming until MAYBE next summer. Like, I'm still even doubting Gaga/any artist is going to be able to tour next summer. The US can't get their s together.

Yeah, swine flu topped we over 1billion worldwide and flu definitely tops 30m per year

We had working ways of treatment for both, though. What's wrong with Covid-19 is that we don't have meds or vaccines that work. Also, Swine flu is estimated to have killed around 13k people in the US, for example, but Covid is already more than ten times that. So, maybe do not underestimate a virus, thanks.

We'll be fine people...

You'll be fine (maybe), but the thousands dying everyday and high risk people (myself included) won't be. We don't even know the full extent of damage the virus causes in the human body, even in those who recover well, so I wouldn't say it's fine just yet.

And for those living in developing countries, I’m sure they will be fine too. smmh

They are going for herd immunity.

The time has come now where the result of locking down is worse and more long term than having no lockdown. Do not only look at deaths, look at lives RUINED by long term lockdowns. Job loss, house repossession, marriage breakdown, education, isolation, mental health..

Is it worth protecting the few to the huge detriment of the masses? I'd say that at this point it just isn't worth the end result.
