..this feels like a double-edged sword: one, yes of course it would be great to defeat Trump but then again, this seems like a precedent in allowing a person to control the election outcome of a crucial state :bear:

Good. Trump can't win without Florida!

Trump can't win without Florida...and North Carolina AND Wisconsin AND Arizona AND Michigan AND Ohio :bear:

Florida is tilted towards Biden. I know I've seen a hell of a lot of Biden ads here and it's sooooo nice :enigma:

This election is a vote against Trump. If Biden wins (and I hope he does), feet to the fire for the democracies for more progressive inclusion.
Thankfully our consistent dude Bernie keeps doing all the leg work that the Dems aren’t.

President Biden

Yes historically this is an shocking amount of money, but realistically it’s not a “precedent of buying results”. Florida ad prices are very high, being a large state. And regardless, an ad buy is just marketing. The ads Bloomberg runs still need to be effective enough to convince voters Biden is the better candidate. So really the likelihood of it determining the entire outcome is low. Voters are still not binded to vote for any one candidate & Trump certainly is popular in FL.

But very glad he did this. Hope he does the same in Texas. It will distract Trump from the Midwestern states that are truly core to Biden’s victory.

Cubans in Florida are a lost cause. Miami FL has trump banners and flags galore all over the streets. It’s crazy.

That is surprising. :saladga:

Not sure if sarcastic, but Cubans in Miami are hardcore Republicans and delusional cause anything left of center is communism in their mind. It’s insane.

No. I was seriously surprised. This is eye opening, for me. I just thought people in a city like Miami would be majorly progressive, even the elderly. But, I get your point. It really is insane.

Good. He should be spending double that.

But they love social programs like Obamacare and Social Security.  The number one zip code in the entire United States for Obamacare enrollment is Hialeah. The most Cuban of all cities in Miami. They just "hate" the label socialism. That why Bernie would have lost by big numbers in Miami. His embrace of that word is toxic for Florida. That why Florida is moving towards red even though when Hilary was running she had a ten+ lead in FL.

There are several electoral combinations where Trump could still win without Florida. But, being realistic, he's probably still going to carry the state. If any states are going to flip back to blue, it'll be Michigan, Wisconsin, or Pennsylvania. It's crazy how there have been more new Republican voter registrations than Democrats in swing states. Especially in Pennsylvania
