MACATL 1,120
Gaga speaking out against Trump is ineffective. The Right EXPECTS to her to be an angry liberal and hate him. What we need is a very large organized country music group to come out with a campaign against him - the heavy hitters/legends.

KindHML 378
She doesn't have to do speak more about it. The world knows her position and what she thinks : **** oppression, repression, regression, discrimination, inequality and misogyny. Live free and proud of yourselves. GagaEnigma 1,474
No. I'm not a fan of celebrities trying to use their fame as a platform to influence others on political issues. And besides, we all already know her opinion, so there's no need to bring it up every month tbh

Ashley 8,946
I wouldn’t care either way. Everyone already knows how she feels about him and even if they don’t, they for sure wouldn’t expect gay icon Lady Gaga to be a conservative Trump supporter, lol. Also what’s with people wanting her to become an environmentalist all of a sudden? I think she already does plenty to aid the world with her foundation. She’s only one person. That was one person of a one group act, and they were not legends then. I mean, it needs to be a PSA from a united front of artists like Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Jennifer Nettles, etc. Now, obviously I don’t know all of those artists’ politics, but I’d be willing to bet many are anti-Trump, and if they came out united and said something along the lines of “this is not about Republican vs democrat. This is about decency and putting America first...” it could be effective for some voters. Yes there would be backlash, but only from the deplorables. Yeah, we need a lot of people to simultaneously said a huge message with a lot of backing. This is what should have happened in 2003, but no one really jumped to either The Chicks or Madonna's aid unfortunately... he/him/his
freebit 6,161
I think it won't do a damn thing sadly. She's made her feelings about Trump known, so what else is there to say? Attacking him in general feels redundant at this point. Anyone with sense hates him, and she'd just be left to fight with QAnon trash in her mentions. What I do wish is that she and other high profile people in general would post more about all the awful things happening with ICE right now because I feel like all this **** is happening and there's not much online visibility as there could be, at least from what I've seen. The US gov is basically lowkey committing genocide right now. I think everyone was up in arms two years ago, but it's like the media DGAF as much anymore. I've never heard of her being besties with Elon, or even talking about him. She's aquainted with the dudes from Google and Sean Parker (& her current man), but that's about all we've seen. I know Bloodpop is all about him because he is BFF's with Grimes, but I've never heard of her hanging out with, or promoting him. I hope she stays far, far away from him. I feel like he'd try to get w/ her or something. Yuck.
God Control 2,181
I don’t get the stress and mandate people put on celebs to get involved in politics. I mean I get it they’re influencers and their words can push people to think one thing or another or raise awareness to something and encourage looking at it but it shouldn’t be something to be shamed for. Some celebrities like to keep their politics to themselves and it’s ok. Not every celeb has to be an activist, not everyone of them has to raise flags or show themselves voting to someone or call out/boycott something. Singing and acting are jobs at the end of the day and not wanting to find reasons to distance yourself from potential customers isn’t so bad and it doesn’t make one complicit. It also won’t do a damn thing. People have been protesting since 2015 and it didn’t change anything and you expect a few celebrities will?
Flawless 2,218
It's really a shocker for me to see Gaga fans being against celebrities being vocal about political stuff when Gaga always used her voice against social injustice. It's never enough saying the truth about one of the worst leaders in the world. Celebrities have the huge plataform and reach to be used for good. the scars on my mind are on replay.
